Fighting Abuse on Steem: Mass Deception and Plagiarism @hamzajameel
Hello my dear Steemians and Art Fans,
First of all, I have a question what @maxwellmarcusart, @taskmaster4450, @brataka, @davidosas have in common?
This is a user who started posting in World of Xpilar and attracted our attention with this post
When you are on Steem for a long time you definitely will recognize the work of our Artist who is very active in WOX and this is his style. I simply went to his blog and of course found this post, of course with his signature.
Original post is done by @taskmaster4450 and post about 3 days ago. Many of us who are on Steem since the beginning we all know that @taskmaster4450 and his posts and the texts are verz easy to recognize.
The original posts belong to user in Hive @brataka, who is from Venezuela, the posts are taken word in word and all the images copied.
Here is the most outrageous case look at the blog and posts, every single is stolen and only from one Author, again from Hive.
The Abuser made it easy for us, as he still had the original signature of author on the drawing.

Seeing such users it makes me to think what made those users to decide to steal the posts of others and present as their own?
Maybe this is because they are just want to get Upvote from @steemcurator01 that is why they use the tag #club5050.
Sometimes I think that maybe that is our own fault because we say that the Curators are supporting good quality content and of course if you look at the posts that the user decided to use they are of good quality. Nevertheless, it is impossible to know. At the end everyone should decide foe themselves.

Thanks so much @stef1! These are really a great job the are commendable from you. At times we wouldn't know since these abusers would be hiding under grass and mentioned curators name just to get their attention for rewards.

It’s always very disappointing to see users resorting to plagiarism despite numerous warnings we issue to our communities. The new deviants try to resort to art plagiarism which is a bit challenging to detect.
Thanks for investigating this matter. We will be extra vigilant on such artists.
Yes, I agree, especially seeing all the names under the posts people will assume that the user is honest and trust him. But there is sometimes no respect for the property of others, unfortunately it happens in any community. We just need to be aware about such things.
It is always difficult to find and fight against plagiarists.
I am aware that you invest a lot of time and energy in this thankless and endless task.
I myself wonder if there is any way to sanction people with this behavior, perhaps downvoting them or eliminating them from the community after repeated misuse of the platform.
Yes, many are very clever and it is difficult to get them but often, if there is one such case then definitely there will be more, because those people will not stop only with one attempt.
