Hello my dear Steemians,

If you remember recently I posted about the Storm that was going through Scotland and brought a lot of wind and in some areas some rain. Luckily we did not have much rain unlikely our country fellows in Northern part. From wind strength point of view it was also it was quickly stormy and we saw few trees with broken branches but also we have noticed what it has done to you plants in front door.

We have had strong and tall sunflower plants they survived until this autumn and we were thinking to cut off hte heads of sunflower in about weeks or so. But the stormy made decision for us and here they are on the ground. I believe after night of wind they were not able to stand upright and it was not only tall plants but also shorter onces htey are all were pressed down to ground.

Weekend clean up

Luckily that happened to end of the week and on last Saturday we just used a moment when it was dry and grabbed our garden stuff and decided to cut down everything. Of course, we have collected our sunflowers to dry them and for next spring we will plant some more probably better in backyard. Now we know that they are growing well.

Despite of having very small area we have had a lot of greens that needed to be transported away.

Those sunflowers look so sad :( We had a 6 week-long drought here in the southern US...killed two of our trees...we had to cut them down. It was a sad thing to do.

That is other ide too much water and too much heat both very bad and from both of them vegetation suffer. We have to cut down some shrubs maybe later of the months, the weather usually stays warm for quite long time and winter is also mild, so we will see. For now we have a lot of sunflower seed for next season :)

 last year

The storm has ruined everything. Some plants are playing very well but the storm has broken all the plants We cannot do anything in front of nature.

Yes, the nature often is cruel, something is destroyed but usually it recovers so we will see what the next spring will bring :)

These things happen especially in autumn. Take deep breaths and slowly sigh. There's always next year. And never forget the success!

Yes, autumn is the time to tidy everything and cut down to prepare for winter, we are already excited about the next year :)

Oh dear. The poor, beautiful plants. I guess it's back to the drawing board. Now you can plan a new crop of plants.
Enjoy your weekend.

Yes, it is sad to see that everything is gone within couple of days, luckily there were not much of high shrubs or trees so it was not too much work. We definitely have nice weekend :)

So sorry for the poor flowers...I understand, as the south and south-east of my country are facing the third very long bad weather year.

It seems the weather is getting more and more extreme, heat, wind and water all the natural powers, hope we will be able to predict them and at least to prevent worst.

Yes, as yet bad weather destroyed 3 cities in my country in one year, sigh...

When we take very good care of our garden, but a strong storm destroys everything, we feel very sad, no matter how hard we took care of the trees. The trees grew. But this is also a law of nature. I also like greenery very much.
Blessings 💞
