8 years on (steem) Steemit: A Journey of Community and Friendship
written by @xpilar
Time flies when you're doing something you love, and for me, the past eight years on Steemit have been a remarkable journey of creativity, community building, and friendships all over the world. A journey of creativity and contribution. From the moment I joined Steemit, I tried to make friends among the 20 thousand members that were in July 2016, but it was not easy. It took time. And then I think of all the new members who come to the platform, you have to be patient. It would be wise to comment on posts you like and follow those authors over time. Because then they will also wonder who you are and you will eventually be visited by them on your posts.
A Lesson from the Cardiology Ward: Heart Attacks Without Chest Pain
written by @abdu.navi03
Today was a real eye-opening scene for us in the cardiology ward. An elderly male patient (50 years) came in the ER with severe abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Initially all of us including myself thought it to be a very severe case of gastroenteritis or perhaps a peptic ulcer. But thanks to our senior doctor, Dr. Khalid Naseeb (Consultant), we came to know the real issue that its a myocardial infarction (Heart Attack) presenting with gastrointestinal symptoms.
My life in paranormal.
written by @ninapenda
Whether we believe in the paranormal or not, there is always a point in our lives when strange things happen to us that are unexplainable. "Para," which means "beyond normal," rings us to what we have as "beyond normal." A lot of people believe paranormal is all about ghosts, but it's not just that; there's a wide range in what paranormal is considered to be.
Money or Peace?
written by @bossj23
This morning, I asked a lady this contest question. Guess her reply!!! She said she chose money and that I should leave peace of mind for the wicked. My ribs cracked hard with laughter. You know there's a saying that there's no peace for the wicked. So the people that really need this peace of mind are the wicked. How comical!
The Most Adventurous Thing I Have Ever Done.
written by @dove11
I can say growing up I had some unforgettable walking experiences in the Himalayan region. I have had many long walking experiences in my life, but some of them were tough and forced on me, and some were dangerous or even scary. But the one I am going to write about was forced on me. I still remember I walked more than 40 kilometers that night from Joshimath to Gopeshwar via Chamoli in the Himalayas, as I had missed my last bus, and I had no option left, but to walk.
Hope you enjoyed today's content selections!
Until next time...
