EL COCOTERO, is a kind of palm tree that grows 30 meters or more and its fruit is the Coco. It is the emblematic tree of the Zulia State (Venezuela).

The plant can be found on the shores of sandy tropical beaches in the Caribbean, Indian and Pacific Oceans.

The COCOTERO is a single species with multiple varieties, basically differentiated by the color of the fruit (yellow or green). The plants only show differences in the stem.
