Have you ever seen a little spider in the house that can jump? The house spider is a jumping spider.
There are more than 300 species of jumping spiders and their appearance generally varies slightly. The color can vary from solid black with distinctive markings, stripes like zebras, to have colorful markings.

However, there is one distinctive characteristic of this type of home spider in Indonesia, namely the two large eyes in the middle with two smaller eyes on the sides.

Jumping spiders can be found anywhere in your home. These spiders that are active during the day have a bite that is harmless and does not bother humans.

How to get rid of spiders at home
If you are afraid or uncomfortable with spiders in your home, there are several ways to get rid of spiders in your home.

1. Clean food sources and possible cobwebs
   Make sure your entire house is clean to prevent spiders from nesting there. A clean house also keeps the small insects that spiders eat from appearing.
   Without a definite food source and adequate hiding places, it is unlikely that spiders will nest in your home. You also need to pay attention to the cleanliness of the upper corners of the room to prevent spiders from nesting there.

2. Ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse or basement
   Warehouses or basements are the most common places where spiders hide. House spiders like cool, dark areas and enjoy being in dirty and dusty places because it can protect them from a variety of predators.
   They are also attracted to damp places, such as near water heaters, windows, or gutters. Small insects that become food can also be found in the cellar or cellar.
   Clean this area of the house regularly as an effective way to get rid of spiders in the house.

3. Make sure your home environment is not comfortable for spiders
   One of the most effective ways to get rid of spiders in your home is to make sure your home environment doesn't attract their attention. Spiders usually nest in plants, piles of leaves or wood, or dark places; such as around old tires or unused containers.
   Keep these items away from your home, you can also block possible entrances for spiders to enter your home, such as small holes around doors or windows or cracked areas. Make sure the doors and windows are tightly closed without any gaps.

4. Using spider repellent
   Spiders are sometimes harder to find than other insect pests in the house because they are nocturnal, meaning they are more active at night. They are also more often in dark places that are rarely used.
   As a solution, you can repel spiders at home by using natural spider repellents, such as lemons, lavender flowers, to garlic. You can spray lemon juice or water mixed with crushed garlic on areas where spiders often go to get rid of them.
   You can also place pots of lavender flowers, or use lavender or lemon-smelling essential oils around your home as a way to get rid of spiders in your home.
