The external source which you have mentioned also used that image from pexels,
So how can you consider this as spam, or copyright infringement?

You only have to indicate the source, in this case "Pexels"

yes but it is a website that has images which are free to use, and also below is a post that I found on steemit policy page, and nothing here is mentioned as to indicate the source.
And if I do have to indicate the source how can I do it like using a link or what? Please guide me with an article stating about this "indicating source of images".
