Hi Art Lovers, drawings, the stages of which are shown step by step, can easily become permanent in the visual memory. In addition, because the same figure is drawn over and over again, it is recorded in memory. Today I drew a chick for you. I'm going to talk about the things that aren't cute in these cute drawings.

Circles can be drawn by hand or with any round object. I preferred the round pencil sharpener and round medicine cap for the drawings.

Chicks are very cute animals, but unfortunately, their life is not as cute as it seems. Rooster production is not desired because a female hen is needed for egg production. In addition, the lack of meat of the roosters causes them to be uneconomical. For these reasons, male chicks are removed and destroyed :( That's why the chicken industry is very controversial, both morally and conscientiously.

Half of the cute chicks (male chicks) hatched from the eggs are sorted. The separated chicks are sent to either grinding or gas chambers. Unfortunately, most people are unaware of this. I learned it too late. It is very sad to learn what it takes to have eggs and chicken on the table :/

This issue has been fought by animal rights activists for years. I have read that France has taken a step toward this issue. Last year, France decided to ban this practice. However, I do not know if this decision was implemented.

The measure that France is planning to take is to find a new method that will enable the sex of the chicks to be understood at the embryo stage, inside the egg. Unfortunately, a method has not yet been found when this decision was taken. I don't know if a viable method has been found in the last few years. As a result of my research, I couldn't find any clear information.

In Germany, I read that 45 million male chicks are exterminated annually. We created this industry with our love of eggs and chickens, but we are either ignorant or ignoring the carnage behind the scenes of the industry.

In addition to all these, except for the chickens living in their natural environment, chickens live in a cramped way in the coops. Of course, nowadays there are farms with better conditions. However, when the main purpose is for the chicken to move less in order to be overweight and the area they are in is minimum, such negative situations arise.

In the cage system, animals do not even have space to spread their wings, and they cannot exhibit most of their natural behavior. In addition, the possibility of infection of animals in this crowded environment increases. This is absolute torture. The cage system is banned in many countries. Many big markets, hotels and food brands in Turkey have committed not to use cage eggs.

Production method data can now be accessed in the barcodes of eggs. HAYTAP, the animal rights defender's association in Turkey, stated that eggs with a barcode starting with 3 for Turkey are cage eggs, so they should not be preferred.

At least we should do our best. These situations are a matter of supply and demand. If we insist on our choice, large companies will also make changes by taking this into account.

I'm sorry to put sad information inside the cute drawing, but they don't disappear when we ignore the facts.
