Wood-Burned Art: Dragon on Unique Wood Slice (Club100)

It's almost the weekend everyone. Hope your week went well and you're almost ready to settle in and have some fun...or relax and recharge if that's what your body needs. What better way to get things started than with a dragon!

This is another wood-burned dragon (Drogon from Game of Thrones) but this one is on a think slice of cedar with a crack on one end that adds some unique character and a heavy epoxy resin to give it a beautiful shine.

The image has color highlights - white around some of the scales, red and yellow for his eye and a touch of yellow in some of the scales.

As always, it was a very fun piece to create. This one is heavier than the wood I typically use so best not to hang this one and use a table display stand instead. Honestly, you could probably skip the stand as the piece is think enough with a flat side that it can stand on its own.

While I'm definitely going to put plenty of time into art creation this weekend, we'll also be back to work on the new, upcoming website. Writing so many product descripts, optimizing SEOs and trying to learn the design system a little better to shore up the other non-store parts of the site is a drag but a necessary evil. Hopefully we get a nice chunk done this weekend and can get it mostly finalized by next weekend with a month to go before my first large art expo.
