RE: The last time I write on this topic. Why Doesn't steemcurator04-08 Vote for Me?
This is a great guide to people who do not get curation or people who complain about not getting curated.
My question is, when you click on the gardening tag at a particular moment do you go through each and every post and then choose the top top or you simply check and get the number that you wanna vote and then you are gone.
I have never been able to choose so many posts that I have had enough. So when I look at all the posts on gardening in the last 5 days, I move on to health, if I still don't have enough, then I move on to the general topic of "lifestyle".
Thats great. I think the way in which you do your curation is really good. When my posts passes a 3 day window i loose because most curators only look out for post whithin the 24 hour window.
As you can see, there are a lot of requirements, so in order to find content that would meet all these requirements, you have to look at the posts for the last 6.5 days. But even then I don't have enough posts to spend all the necessary voting power.
Thats quite surprising. I think the hype around the curator team and the tags has gone done. In the first 2 months there are a lot of entries as people were seen to be using the tags. It looks like now people do not really post using the tags or the ones who use them are either not in the various clubs or are not up to quality.
There are people who follow the rules honestly and use tags correctly. But we cannot support the same people all the time. This raises suspicions of abuse.
That's true, I am sure for your team you have a policy of only upvoting a user twice a week.
I follow the same methodology as @o1eh but have never thought to write it down. It seems crazy to think that actually reading a post is in "Step 7".
I review posts up to the 12 hours before payout when the returns start significantly diminishing so anything up to 6.5 days old will still get my vote.
I originally thought I'd follow the idea of finding all of the posts that fit the criteria and then voting for them all at the end of the day. Today, there were 4 posts and then I had to start looking at other non-sports tags. You wouldn't believe it would you??
We never know until we are told right 😂
😮😮 Thats really surprising. Can we attribute this to the fact that the main sports communities are powering down thus users do not feel the need to post in those communities anymore cause they wouldn't get support?
I made a football post in the worldoffootball community a few days ago but it has since gotten lotyle support; I think this is because they are also powering down their curation account hence curators are hesitant to support users in that community 🤔
I don't know how I missed your post! But it does highlight another problem with curating sports within a lot of communities... most of the posts now are contest entries. Normally a prediction and each prediction gets its own post which hides the content which isn't a contest. 9 out of 10 of the most recent posts are contest entries and most of the time, they're not something that are curation worthy.
I didn't realise that World Of Football had powered down too - it's stopped now but 50% of its power has gone.
Yep, it looks like people find it easier to make contest entry post than tk actually write sports related posts. Am sure this can be attributed to the fact with contests they are sure of rewards but with the football posts which are not high quality iys 50/50.
And am surprised my post was not seen😄. Can this be that the positioning of fhe sports tag might be the problem.( like making the sports tag first or second tag)
Opps😬🤭 I just snitched on the admin of worldoffootball.
I taught that was the reason my post was not curated. I checked the last posts in that community and i saw that they were not curated so i thought that was it.🤣
I'm not sure 🤷🏼♂️ I would normally scroll through the posts within World of Football, Steem Sports, etc. as well as searching for tags so I think that I just missed it amongst all of the "Concurso"!
It looks like they powered down 50% of the account and I can see steem.sports has gone due to "lack of support". Which should be expected when booming support is abused.
It gives me more optimism for WOX Sports though - it might be slow to grow but if we get a quality group of people like we've got for the Fantasy Sports contests then it'll be worthwhile.
I think in a reply to curator01 the admin said they were not planning to power down all of the steem power of worldoffootball. But for steem sports am sure they intend powering down everything after the recent revelation by endingplagiarism.
Of course, users are waiting for people to start getting support there so that they also start posting.
