EXHIBITION IN 2012. S´ALAMERA CENTRE CULTURAL. IBIZA.
Poster by Jason Roig.
Hi Steemians,
Today I´m going to take you through one of my largest exhibitions I´ve done. This took place back in July 2012 in a very large Cultural Center for the Arts in Ibiza town. Large, for what I had been used to exhibiting in.
I knew about a year in advance I was given this space to exhibit in and just about that time, I came to know the neighbours living very close to where we were when we lived in a lovely old farmhouse in the country-side.
So one of my neighbours happen to be a wood sculptor and his studio was just a short walk away from me. We became very friendly and I was impressed by his work and felt we worked in a similar way in different mediums and asked him if he wanted to share the exhibition space with me. He loved the idea so then we spoke to the cultural center and arranged it would be for us both. We called the exhibition "Veins" (that in our local catalán language means Neighbours.
My neighbour has since then become one of my best friends and we still collaborate in some things. His name is Gustavo Eznarriaga. and here is a link to some of his work. https://www.instagram.com/g.eznarriaga/?hl=es
He doesn´t use internet much.
Gustavo and I during the opening night.
So, a couple of months before the exhibition we embarked on a very time consuming work we did together a piece we put in one of the windows of the space that was lit up at night could be appreciated all night from the street. I did a post about this work a while back on Steemit you can click on this link and see the elaboration process.

It´s a 3d piece made from sculptured wood and painted.
So, this exhibition took place in July, and here are some images of the opening night. we also had a performance by Amanda Orloff and PJ Gonzalez. Who I collaborate with in many occasions.
A couple of images before people came...

The exhibition got many visitors and we got good feedback from people.
I hope you also enjoyed it.
Once again I´m bringing together images and memories from past exhibitions. It´s always good to keep a record.
best wishes from Ibiza

Hi @romanie, thank you for taking back into your exhibition time. It is amazing how much you have done and how many people you have met. I bet you sold many Artworks all over the world too.
Knowing you just from blogging I had no idea about it but I really appreciate all you being here a part of our little world.
While looking through the images I really love the idea of the Paintings in Windows and also that you captured yourself on the photographs.
It was nice to see Xavier, @xaviduran I remember you mentioned him before too and we are happy to have him in our community too.
