Pens for Drawing - Ran Art Blog
My latest drawing with a brown pen (fine liner).
From my recommended drawing pens for artists.
For lighter values I draw swiftly with the pen at an angle.
Rough paper is better for textures.
Here is a reminder for some pens I recommend for drawing.
Winsor & Newton Fine Liner
They are longer than other brands, and their tip is tapered, which helps seeing more of the drawing surface.
Zig Mangaka
They are one of my favorite pens.
Did you know? Mangaka means an artist who specializes in drawing manga.
Zig Millennium
It is just as great as the Zig Mangaka
Both the Zig pens are relatively small, and they share the same structure.
Both have quality ink, like all brands in this review.
Pigma Micron by Sakura
A favorite among artists.
Great quality at an affordable price.
Staedtler Pigment Liner
These pens can be left uncapped for at least 12 hours.
Meaning, you can leave the cap open while working and not worry about them drying.
Faber-Castell Ecco Pigment
I love these pens. They are ergonomic and easy to work with. They always deliver.
There are many more recommended pens, which you can read about in my article.
Here are few more drawings with pens.
And, here are some with colored pens.
And one with a regular pen.

Hi :o)
What is Holisss?
My dear teacher, your drawings are perfect! I hope you are well. Be carefully with the crazzy neighborgs.
Hi dear friend,
Thank you very much!
Yes, it is crazy here, but we know how to defend ourselves, most of the time... Tough neighborhood.
