Hagia Ayasofya means "Holy Wisdom". Formerly known as Holy Wisdom Church and Hagia Ayasofya Museum.
Today, officially known as Hagia Ayasofya-i Kebîr Mosque-i Şerîfi (Holy Great Hagia Ayasofya Mosque).

Hagia Ayasofya is a mosque and former basilica, cathedral and museum located in Istanbul. We know that it was built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I between 532-537 in the old city center of Istanbul on the historical peninsula.

We know that Hagia Ayasofya is a domed basilica type building that combines the basilica plan and the central plan in terms of architecture, and it is considered as an important turning point in the history of architecture with its dome passage and carrier system features. Look at this magnificent view, it is very impressive and a lot of people from the world meet here.

The Ottomans gave great care to the Hagia Ayasofya Mosque, which they valued, since Fatih Sultan Mehmed Han, continued its maintenance-repair activities and made the mosque a much stronger structure than before. The additions and arrangements made by Mimar Sinan to Hagia Ayasofya have been important in maintaining this heritage of humanity today.
