#club5050 Simply Breathtaking

I love everything about traveling from the late nights researching a destination and drafting an itinerary to the hustle and bustle of a busy new city in a foreign country where you are lucky enough to speak the language. Well, when you speak eight widely spoken languages you are quite safe really but let's not brag about it like my friend, Rosaria. You always arrive jet-lagged and sleep the first two days anyway so you are actually of no help to the group.

Why has a trip to Peru been my favourite so far hopefully some care to know? Well, it has everything a traveller and a tourist might be after. Yes, they are very different personalities who usually won't spend the night in the same accommodation. They both will fall in love with Peru though. This South American country is big on the food scene and there is plenty of shopping, which luckily you can never overspend on. Culture, arts and religion keep your eyes and minds busy whilst knowledgeable local guides give you an insight into the Inca heritage. There is also plenty of music and dances in traditional costumes to inspire and entertain you.

I recently read online and I was shocked to find out that Peru is currently the country with the most deaths due to COVID. I really feel for the people there especially on a day like today when I also lost a loved one due to the coronavirus. So I totally get it that you are not breaking your legs dashing to the nearest airpot to catch a flight to Peru right now. But I do hope that you enjoy looking at the photo featured here and one day the sooner the better when it all goes back to normal places like this will reopen again and start welcoming international tourists.

So you have been there, @petface. Awesome! Beautiful photo of Machu Picchu! Thanks for this reminder on how wonderful our world can be.

You are more than welcome @zorank I visited Peru, last time with a big group who spoke no Spanish so bless them they kept me busy daily for ordering food, shopping and taking taxis. Going back in time, my most favourite Peruvian activity to be honest turned out to be sandboarding. Going down the sand dunes super fast at sunset is truly awesome. It was definitely a fabulous experience which included spending few nights in an oasis, Huacachina, where a hippie crafts market is on at night.

I've always dreamed with visiting Machu Picchu, also Nazca! Your photograph reminded me about that! It must be difficult for Peruvians having their tourist industry halted, we know there is almost no support for lockdown workers and business in our countries, but they're obliged to close anyway.

Glad to know more thanks to your knowledge and awesome travels!!

Send you best winds for life and projects, @Petface!!

I hope that one day you will visit Machu Picchu and make the most of it! The hot springs in Aguas Calientes make a visit to the archeological site just perfect. Small planes on which every passenger gets a window seat show you the Nazca Lines from above. They put all passengers on the weight scales before boarding and you better go there early if you wish to be on the same plane with your travel companions. On the way to the airport you can also enjoy looking at lines from free elevated viewing platforms. I wish you lots of success in your future projects too @leveuf and enjoy your weekend. I am off to an alpaca 🦙 farm where I expect to take nice photos which I will then share here in the World Of Xpilar community.

I almost feel that I made this little travel over the Nazca lines thanks to your narration, imagination is great, but I promise if I go I'll make the most of it, for sure.
Here in México we also have Aguascalientes, State and City!! :)
Big hug and best vibes for you,@Petface!!

Imagination is fabulous indeed! It has taken me to so many places and has made me feel like so many other personalities. I simply love to be carried away by what I see and what I read which then gives me fantastic ideas on what to do next.

My friends who are based in Guadalajara have been to Aguascalientes but I haven't yet. I have seen some of their photos though. We have the historical city of Bath here in Somerset, South West England which is popular for its Roman baths. It is quite posh there and the accommodation and spa prices go up like crazy on holidays and weekends. It is popular for even international tourists and also makes a fantastic day trip from London which some even combine with a visit to Stonehenge. Oh Dear, now I want to go to Bath..

I am sending you a virtual hug @leveuf and have fun this weekend!

Yes!! Now you need to travel to Bath to share those wonders. :D
It is great to meet a great guide like you to know more about the wonderful places you've visited!! Stonehenge would be awesome too!!

Pasa un bonito fin de semana también, @Petface!!
Te mando abrazos grandes!!

Thank you so much @leveuf I am pleased that I came to know you too 💁‍♀️ I am glad that you find my travel tips and posts interesting as such content is my favourite to blog about. I simply love travelling and I am open to all the adventures which await me once I leave the big city behind 🏙 Cheers and we stay in touch!

Machu Picchu it looks unreal the whole town on top of the mountain built at that time, unbelievable, beautiful photo.
I see that you are a great adventurer and that you have a good time traveling around the world.
I'd like you to be right when you say that everything will be fine soon as far as COVID is concerned and I think that unfortunately nothing will be the same anymore.

Hi @to-tru Machu Picchu is a stunning site preserved in an incredible way which simply throws you back in time. The friendly llamas which roam here freely are also quite fun to meet.

Thank you ever so much for nominating my post for the #wox-bestpick initiative. It is certainly great to support each other and keep an eye out for what the rest of us post here. I am sure that we will be successful another time. I am currently working on a post including several recently taken photographs which I will go live with tomorrow. I share #steemexclusive content and I am also a member of #club5050 which based on the rules of this community programme gives one a priority. From now on I will also be using #wox-bestpick more often so I increase the chances of receiving a nomination and then being successful and upvoted.

Thanks again my friend and have a nice Sunday evening.

There will be more luck next time I'm sure. It's best to always put those few tags you never know when the prize may come, it doesn't cost you anything. ✌👀
