Thank you for standing up for the curators! I can only ditto what you have written. It is indeed no easy task and take LOTS of time! BUT, I also find it rewarding. It makes me feel good when I can give that support.

One of the biggest problems I encounter is the word count for competitions. Most of the competitions only expect a word count of 200 where as curators we look for at least 300+. Please never write a post with less than this. Trust me, I've learned the hard way.

Next is CSI. If you don't play it forward you not going to get my vote.

Lastly, I also check the level of the author for the reason that I am looking for those newbies as they deserve the upvote as much as the 60+

The are so many articles with good information, good markdown style and excellent photos which just just fall short. Don't let it be yours.
