RE: Something Useful For Blockchain

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 years ago

Thank you for your reply and the time you spent reading and possible ideas.
Much has already been contributed by the other participants in the discussion. I would therefore just like to briefly highlight individual points that are particularly important to me and that have not been considered much so far.

We are much less keen on people delegating large amounts of their Steem Power to communities (or voting schemes) as they usually then don't bother to vote.

Much has already been written about the vote-bots. However, I have noticed that many users have delegated the majority of their SP to one (their?) communities. This strengthens the (one) community, but the votes tend to remain in the (small) circle of the same users. The delegator will profit the most from this, if he writes posts in this community... so basically nothing else than a vote-bot in the form of a community account. The support of other users is no longer possible...
I myself have also delegated some SP to the "deutsch unplugged" account, but that is only a small part of my SP, so I can still support good posts and comments manually (and outside the community).

It especially bothers me when community leaders require members to delegate or make it a minimum requirement for acceptance....

We need more commenters making relevant comments.

During my (short) time as community curator, I too had the impression that many posts were written exclusively for the SC. No comments and often not even votes... set the right tag... and a SC vote is already there.
That's why it's right for you to pay more attention to relevant comments ... a few ideas on how you can orient your vote activity to this are already included in the comments below the post. I am curious to see which ones you take up and what new ones you develop. :-)

Sort:

Yes agreed.

This is something we are increasingly concerned about...

This is one of several concerns we have about communities at present. They are not really achieving what we had hoped they would achieve.

For reference people most definitely do not need to be in communities to get votes from sc01/02. We follow tags as much (or more) than we follow communities.

Still working on the comment front.

It's already hard not to hit the vote button on the comments you've been making lately.... ;-)
I am happy about your current transparency :-)

I'm not kidding myself. It is not easy to recapture the various (unattractive) outgrowths that have occurred in the past in a short period of time. Transparency and communication are all the more important from my point of view.
I see that you put a lot of time into checking some users/posts. This is very time-consuming, but perhaps does deter some.... and can only be good for the Steem... Now my optimism comes out again :-)

:-)) ... wo kämen wir denn da hin... ;-))
