São Miguel is increasingly sought after by tourists. Let's hope that in the future, we can successfully balance nature and its preservation with the growing number of visitors. This viewpoint is in a somewhat remote location, perhaps in the most secluded area of the island, hence the pristine images. It seems to me that it would have been a whale-watching spot.
