Even though there are huge differences between human cultures and the way we express ourselves, the facial expressions have a degree of universality that transcends time and place.
Each of these thousands of ways of moving the muscles in our faces, serve to express and reinforce one of the six basic emotions: anger, disgust, enjoyment, fear, sadness, and surprise.
And the most powerful and profound facial expression of them all? The smile.
Smiling is universally considered to be a way we display joy. It can communicate our internal world to people on the outside, and it can be a welcoming sign to new people.
The original image taken in color a few years ago, was modified using the editing tools of the PicsArt application, using a filter overlay, starting with a filter of the type HDR (High Dynamic Range) in order to expand the tones of the original image, and subsequently a simple filter of Black & White, a procedure that I have used previously in other publications..
Aunque existen grandes diferencias entre las culturas humanas y la forma en que nos expresamos, las expresiones faciales tienen un grado de universalidad que trasciende el tiempo y el espacio.
Cada una de estas miles de formas de mover los músculos de nuestro rostro, sirven para expresar y reforzar una de las seis emociones básicas: enfado, disgusto, disfrute, miedo, tristeza y sorpresa.
¿Y cuál es la expresión facial más poderosa y profunda de todas? La sonrisa.
La sonrisa se considera universalmente como una forma de mostrar alegría. Puede comunicar nuestro mundo interno a las personas del exterior y puede ser un signo de bienvenida para las personas nuevas.
La imagen original tomada a color unos años atrás, fue modificada haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición de la aplicación PicsArt, empleando una superposición de filtros, comenzando con un filtro del tipo HDR (High Dynamic Range) con la finalidad de ampliar los tonos de la imagen original, y posteriormente un filtro sencillo de Blanco & Negro, un procedimiento que ya he usado con anterioridad en otras publicaciones.
