At first glance, the detail on the right (I do not take into account the reflection) seemed to me to be the wheel of a scooter, trolley or some other small vehicle :)
You could become my hero ;-))) Bring together your idea about a wheel and my former information!
now I have no doubt only that the object is round or in the shape of a torus :) . I will think further. Perhaps we need to guess the surface on which this torus is rolling?
Then it looks like puddles among the melted snow...
Round. For sure. But not closer than before ;-))
