Could we have similar features on Steemit? Few photos from Iceland too.
Recently I've got this email by the google team and while it doesn't bring any real-life value to me, I have to admit, it brings some joy and satisfaction.
On a separate, unrelated note, it is quite interesting and sometimes puzzling what kind of info attracts people on the web!
I have to admit another side of this type of notifications - it inspires and motivates to upload more. Yeah, yeah, I know, sharing my photo and experiences on google maps would add value to those but I am inclined to do so from time to time, as I've been using their maps and navigation for years. Even if my contributions there are pointless with regards to my personal income.
So, I've been thinking, could we have a similar feature on Steemit?
I realize there is plethora of anonymous accounts on the chain but still, the most of the original accounts have been created using an email address.
There is one other side for sure - such web stats would not be exactly correct, as Steemit is just one of the frontends to access data on the STEEM blockchain. Still, such stats would be useful and probably reveal which are the most visited and therefor useful articles.
Thoughts? Ideas?

I've trying to get access to Steemit's Google Anayltics for about 2 years - it was be so helpful to find out everything that there is to know from device preference, by country to posts and the search terms that lead people here.
Unfortunately, I'm still getting nowhere.

Probably the team wants to keep maximum privacy, I couldn't think of other reasons, similar to removing the EXIF metadata from all images uploaded ;)
Anyway, those stats are not full, as there are other frontends to the blockchain ;)
I'm very proud of what I've done. I've finally got it all working today so just waiting to hear back from my designer about button hover states. He'd better not change anything - I've worked for 3 days solid on this!
There must be something that they don't like ... I don't know. It would be sooo useful!
