WOX Travel Contest | Week 20 | Geradi Ella Falls | Waterfall Hunting
Hello Steemians!😎
How are you guys? Last few weeks I was not able to participate in the WOX Travel contest. I promise I will participate consistently from this week. So last week I went to Geradi Ella falls for camping. This is the story of that hike.
Garadi Ella Waterfall is located in Kalugala in Kandy District. It stands at a whopping height of 240 meters. The waterfall flows into several sections. This waterfall is named "Garadi" because it resembles a slithering snake. The top 4 parts of the falls can be seen from Mahiyangana Road. Kalugala Gerandi Ella waterfall is located vertically and climbing the mountain is quite a difficult trek.
Since this is a waterfall on top of a mountain, you have to climb the mountain to see it. It is very difficult to climb this mountain because of the strong winds in the area and the steep slope. However, it was a great adventure trip. It took only 3 hours to climb the mountain.
The peak is a great spot for overnight camping and has a 270-degree view. Also, you can see the beautiful lights of Mahianganaya and Hasalaka at night.
Sri Lanka's most famous mountains "Yahangala" and "Kehelpatdooruwa" are breathtakingly visible from the top of Garadi Falls. "Weyangolla Plains" can also be seen well.
Victoria Reservoir, Sorabora Lake, Maduru Oya Reservoir, and Randeni Gala Reservoir can also be seen below.
Spending a night on top of this hill full of greenery will give you a beautiful experience. And this area is always covered in fog so it is very beautiful.
Another feature of this waterfall is that it is the longest chain of waterfalls in Sri Lanka.

Welcome back! What great photos! With such selfies, you have every chance to become an Instagram star :)
To be honest with you, I really enjoyed your post. You showed us the nature beautifully, and you described your trip well. In my opinion, waterfalls are a special natural decoration. There are no ugly waterfalls. There is something magical about watching water fall. Waterfalls create amazing landscapes.
Have you actually climbed a rock using ropes?
Thank You @o1eh. This is my latest tour & I was real adventure.
