Day 5 Australia ZOO ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฆ
Welcome to day 5 of our family holiday on the beautiful Gold Coast in Australia, i am actually 24 hours behind schedule but more on that later.
Another beautiful Sunny day with a temp of 25 degrees greeted us, remember this is the middle of Winter here in Australia.
We jumped in our rental car and drove 2 hours north to reach Australia Zoo, the roads in Australia are far superior to the retarded ones we have here in NZ which makes driving enjoyable.

This Zoo was founded by Steve & Terri Irwin and if you know anything, Steve is the Crocodile hunter tragically killed by a Sting ray barb.
We don't own the planet ๐, we belong to it and we must share it with our wildlife - Steve Irwin
This yellow beast was a wonder to see while on the right is the Crocoseum is where they put on an exceptional show which lasts an hour ๐
We all got to pat the Kangaroos as they enjoyed the sunny day, i think i want one actually...
I think some of the snakes were checking us out as much as we were looking at them.
Everyone l oved this Zoo and this the 2nd time me and wifey have been there, last time was 2006 when we had no kids.
If you are ever close to this place i recommend a visit as its amazing, they do so much for injured wildlife in Australia and that needs our support as well.
We drove the 2 hours back to our Hotel while stopping for dinner.

Tomorrow we pack up and travel home which involves 2 flights apparently - more on that in tomorrow's post.

That Kangaroo looks so innocent and then I saw his claws! ๐
They would use the front paws to hold you while gouging you with their back more powerful legs.
These are only small ones which makes the mind boggle meeting a big one in the wild - the like to box like humans ๐ฅ
