Warm greetings to the entire Steemit community, on this occasion I would like to share with everyone a publication within the framework of the Contest: „My year 2020“ , sponsored by @xpilar, @steem-agora, @art-venture, @stef1, @steemcurator02 and @nutbox carried out by the friend @stef1.
Well, it is a contest in which we can give free rein to our imagination, and of course, talk about many things. What's the theme?, it's suitable for everyone, it answers the question: How was the year 2020 for you?, each one has its own particular experience, without a doubt, and I'm sure it will be very interesting to read all those entries. So let's start...
This year was really complex for most people, I can't deny that at the beginning it was also complex for me, but luckily I was able to solve it, and start a path that now, ending the year, I can say that it has been a great year. Without a doubt.
I am currently in Colombia, I am Venezuelan, I have been in this country for three years. At the beginning of the year, news arrived from China, Italy, Spain, France, and how complicated the situation was there. I have friends in Spain, and they told me part of the reality, so together with my wife we began to prepare for the arrival of the virus in this country. We bought food, alcohol, mouthwashes, gloves, and we told some friends that it was necessary to prepare for it, because the virus would end up arriving in this country.
Really few paid attention, and on March 20th they were declaring absolute quarantine, no one could leave the house. I was left without a job, which obviously worried me, however, fortunately I had this platform, and I still have it, the profits from which I was able to pay rent, which is one of the big expenses here. Yes, literally Steemit kept me through those months of pandemic and absolute quarantine.
So I have continued to concentrate all year long on creating content. Currently I am part of the Community of Project Hope, and without a doubt I can say that it has been a point of great growth within this platform, for me, as well as for many. My wife had an account in Steemit for more than 2 years, but she had abandoned it. She was also left without a job, and took up writing again.
Not only this, but we have also discovered many other things, via the internet that have allowed us to continue working from home, even at this point in the year. We are really lucky. A few months ago the absolute quarantine ended, and we were allowed to leave again, I resumed my job, for a couple of months, but it occurred to me that realizing that I could keep my expenses and earn even more than at my job, I decided to quit, so I worked until November 30, and currently I am happily unemployed. But I'm working on projects that I really like, and I know that they will continue to move forward.
I faithfully believe that the most difficult situations test us, We MUST GIVE 100% OF OURSELVES, and these difficult situations can bring out the best in each of us. I can say that knowing this platform three years ago has consolidated as a blessing this complex year 2020. I have met many people, who have become great friends, even without knowing each other personally.
I have continued to grow within this platform, I have deepened my knowledge regarding cryptocurrencies and Blockchain. This is a great gain. I am also studying English online, with a teacher with whom I watch classes by video call, I feel happy with the way I am progressing. And the best thing, I pay for the classes with cryptocurrencies. This is a study plan for 8 users of this platform that we undertook from the Project Hope community, from the hand of @crypto.piotr, the community leader. So, I can say that this year has been one of much growth, of technological advancement, of learning tools that will make this next year a better one.
Thanks to @lanzoseg and its TOPFIVEFAMILY project I have been able to reach other spaces, create more links with other people, and allow us to transcend with a friendship beyond the platform. Because it is not only economic gain, but from the human side, which is very important.
I learned this year to operate with intelligent contracts through Justswap and SUN, in the now Blockchain Hemana de Steemit, TRON. I took up drawing again after several years without doing it, from some competitions in the community of WORLDOFXPILAR, that is to say, this year has been very particular, I cannot complain about the many things I have done and that I have been able to learn, which opens the doors to a year 2021 much better than the one that is about to end.
This year has been one of much learning, I will not fail to say, despite all the advances we have in technology, health, etc, something as small as a virus has wreaked havoc. It has literally brought the economy of many countries to the ground, but paradoxically the fortunes of a few have increased. A virus that made us see that no matter how much money you may have, you can always be affected by something, we are not immune to anything, as human race we are truly sensitive to many things and susceptible to get sick, die, I think this year particularly allowed us to value life more, at least for me it has been like that, I am facing many things that I thought would be very difficult to overcome.
I could say many more things, but I must finish because I often extend myself. However, in spite of being well here in this new country with my wife, there is always something missing.Being a migrant is complicated, being away from family and friends is regrettable, it is necessary, more so in these seasons when families are supposed to stay together, but, the reality of a large number of Venezuelan families is that this cannot be the norm, in view of the large Venezuelan migration of more than 5 million inhabitants, which represents approximately 18% of the population...
But here I am, here we are and here we continue, moving forward, happy to have had a good year, with the hope of a much better year, and with the intention of being able to continue helping my family, and whoever I can from my possibilities.

Hi @josevas217, thank you for your interesting post, I have now learnt that you and @franyeligonzalez are family. It is great that people are involving their family members that allow the number of users to grow. While reading through the post, I thought that Coronavirus was the worst what we had but on other hand it made many people to investigate other ways of earning and introduced Cryptocurrency. Especially Steem and now Tron giving another opportunity for people to survive this difficult times. Once again your post confirmed that with engagement we can improve our own life.
Hello @stef1, yes, Franyeli and I have been together for 10 years now, we studied together at the university.
Certainly, cryptos have been an engine for many, being smart you can learn a lot and achieve sustenance.
It is something that for many is a little complicated to understand, and they prefer to stay away. But for others who are more daring, it is a way to survive, to be able to enter another wonderful world, which opens the door to many more things.
The blockchain is here to stay, and I am sure that steemit will continue to evolve.
This year I managed to bring 5 people to the platform, who are still active.
And these in turn are incorporating other people, I see this as a chain of favors. And it works for everyone, because we all get favors.
The Coronavirus has been a generator of world case, we can not deny it, and it does not aim to end soon, but despite this, it has served for others to seek alternatives, and really this year has been very good for the world of cryptocurrencies.

Es interesante lo que compartes del Proyecto hope, es un grupo para aprender inglés? Y me gustaría saber que otras cosas aprendiste para generar recursos por Internet.
Yo me encuentro en Venezuela y bueno aunque tengo un año que llegue a Steemit me falta por aprender, que me siento nueva. 😂
