Retrato de mi amigo Javier / Portrait of my friend Javier - Traditional drawing with graphite
Saludos, como comenté en mi publicación pasada, estoy practicando el dibujo de retrato masculino tomando como modelos algunos de mis amigos, es esta ocasión dibujé a mi amigo Javier @jarilustra , las metas para este trabajo era poder dibujar correctamente las proporciones del rostro de perfil y seguir practicando el vello facial o barba.
A diferencia de mi modelo anterior, mi amigo Javier es el típico chico latino que tiene el cabello muy oscuro, el lo tiene largo y definitivamente cuando vi la foto lo primero que pensé fue que debía comprar un lápiz 6B nuevo para sombrear todo el cabello porque el que tenía estaba muy pequeño jeje, asimismo la parte difícil es que el cabello, la camisa y la barba coincidían por superposición en el lado izquierdo de la foto. Pero disfruté mucho el proceso, me gustó que esta fotografía tiene buena calidad a pesar de que la transferencia del archivo por redes sociales le quita calidad sigue siendo una buena foto, fue tomada por un fotógrafo amigo de mi amigo, entonces supongo que por eso se ve muy bien a mi parecer. Espero les guste y cualquier sugerencia estaré agradecida de leerla.
Greetings, as I mentioned in my last post, I am practicing drawing a male portrait taking some of my friends as models, this time I drew my friend Javier, the goals for this work were to be able to correctly draw the proportions of the face in profile and continue practicing facial hair or beard.
Unlike my previous model, my friend Javier is the typical Latin boy who has very dark hair, he has it long and definitely when I saw the photo the first thing I thought was that I should buy a new 6B pencil to shade all the hair because the one I had was very small hehe, also the difficult part is that the hair, shirt and beard coincided by overlapping on the left side of the photo. But I really enjoyed the process, I liked that this photograph has good quality despite the fact that the transfer of the file through social networks low quality is still a good photo, it was taken by a photographer friend of my friend, so I suppose that is why looks very good in my opinion. I hope you like it and any suggestions I will be grateful to read.

Comencé haciendo el boceto con lápiz HB como la fotografía era cuadrada y no quería hacer un dibujo tan pequeño decidí tomar el ancho de la hoja completo, es decir, no deje un borde, eso no es muy aconsejable, es mejor dejar un marco entre el dibujo y el final de la hoja, pero yo quise hacerlo de esta forma en esta ocasión.
I started by making the sketch with HB pencil as the photograph is square and I did not want to make a drawing so small I decided to take the full width of the sheet, that is, do not leave a border, that is not advisable, it is better to leave space between the drawing and the end of the page, but I wanted to do it this way this time.
Con el lápiz 2B comencé sombreando el ojo, el único visible y poco a poco fui oscureciendo esa área de la piel del rostro. Luego sombreé la nariz.
With the 2B pencil I started shading the eye, the only one visible and little by little I darkened that area of the facial skin. Then I shaded the nose.
Con el mismo lápiz sombreé la boca, un poco las mejillas y también la sombreé la oreja y el cuello.
With the same pencil I shaded the mouth, a little the cheeks and also shaded the ear and neck.
Comencé a delimitar y oscurecer la barba y la ceja con el mismo lápiz, luego sombreé e hice trazos de lápiz 6B y parte de la camisa.
I started outlining and darkening the beard and eyebrow with the same pencil, then I shaded and made 6B pencil strokes and part of the shirt.
El reto con la camisa era que no tuviera la misma textura de la barba o el cabello porque serian del mismo tono oscuro, por eso hice primero la barba, luego la camisa completa.
The challenge with the shirt was that it did not have the same texture as the beard or hair because they would be the same dark tone, so I made the beard first, then the full shirt.
Quise comenzar a sombrear el fondo de la parte de abajo lápiz HB y la parte superior con lápiz 2B, dejé el cabello para hacerlo de último porque es el área que ocupa más espacio en la foto.
I wanted to start shading the bottom of the HB pencil bottom part and the top part with 2B pencil, I left the hair to do it last because it is the area that takes up the most space in the photo.
Para el cabello utilicé lápiz 6B tratando de hacer trazos de líneas en dirección del cabello, así como hacer los brillos en dirección de la luz de la foto.
For the hair I used pencil 6B trying to make lines in the direction of the hair, as well as making the highlights in the direction of the light in the photo.
