My newly completed traditional portrait.
Good morning everyone,
This morning I bring to you my new traditional portrait drawing that I got completed yesterday. It is a commissioned drawing given to me by a client. Naturally I am a slow drawer when it comes to traditional portraits of big size so I do take like two weeks interval to get a drawing done. But for this drawing it came with just one week to complete the drawing. Initially I wanted to turn it down but then I thought, this is an opportunity to challenge myself so I took it. Each day of the week, I set a goal for myself places I should get completed before the end of the day and I tried my self to work along with it.
Thankfully I was able to complete it and get it framed yesterday and also got it delivered too. The drawing thought me a lesson that with determination and discipline, you can achieve some things that seems difficult and I'm so grateful for that lesson.
Below I'll be showing the materials I used and the progressive shot of the drawing. It is a 16 by 12 inches drawing completed within the space of one week.
MATERIALS USED
- Pelican paper
- Charcoal pencil
- Charcoal dust
- Monozero eraser
- HB pencil
- 5B pencil
