⚽ WOX FPL GW23 Update and Contest Winner 🏆
Finally it's over. Quite possibly the longest and ultimately most disappointing Double Gameweek in FPL history. We waited 2 weeks for the disappointment of Burnley v. Watford and those who captained Emmanuel Dennis won't have been tuning in to watch that one. We'll now be wondering how to offload the crappy Watford players that we brought in, wondering if they deserved another opportunity with another double in Gameweek 26. They probably don't. Just like anybody who owns any crappy Man Utd players will be wondering whether to captain them in Gameweek 25.
Gameweek 23 Round-Up
Once again, Cristiano Ronaldo was the most popular captain and considering what happened, proved to be a better choice than the second most popular pick, Emmanuel Dennis. The average score for the Gameweek was 35 points so if you scored more than that, you have done well.
With last week's prize not being claimed, it's a rollover with the winner being another player who's been inactive on Steemit for over 5 months now with the following team and a score of 54 points:

Overall Ranking
Spare a thought for our league leader @captain36 who like many this week took a 4 point hit to bring in and captain the aforementioned Emmanuel Dennis. It was a popular move within the FPL community and his red card has seen over 200,000 managers dispose of him already, despite him having another Double in a couple of weeks time.
This has allowed @the-gorilla to close the gap to 9 points with @chenty still in 3rd position for the prizes.
Head-to-Head League
@arahman managed to do just enough to overcome our league leader (@captain36) which allowed @chenty and @the-gorilla in 2nd and 3rd place respectively to reduce the gap slightly with their wins.
@captain36 still has a comfortable lead of 7 points at the top.

A very disappointing gameweek for me. At least @arahman did what he was supposed to and maybe we should give him the prize😂. It looks and Kane is back and I’m thinking of bringing him in🤔

Kane's looked good for a little while now, he's certainly improved a lot since Conte arrived. I've got him and am happy to keep him. Lots will go for Ronaldo for the Double Gameweek 25 but I'm steering clear - Ronaldo's playing worse than Kane did in September.
He has and the goals he scored yesterday especially the first was too good. I’m not going near any United player aside De Gea for now
It's hard to trust and Man Utd players - although it's hard not to have any of them for their Double Gameweek. I'll give it more thought on Tuesday before the deadline!
I tried the double gameweek thing and it didn’t work well at all. I might steer clear this time
I'm probably only going to have Sanchez for Brighton and Man Utd's although Fernandes is tempting to get in and captain. It's a tough one with Man Utd being as awful as they have been.
It’s very difficult with United. You might decide not to have any of them and Bruno will go on to score 2.
They’re still too unpredictable
I watched the game last night and didn't see much to impress me. Cavani, Bruno and Luke Shaw but only Bruno is guaranteed to play. I'll probably stick with my plan of avoiding them for the double.
I have no success in the Premier League. This is not surprising, since no Ukrainian footballer has successfully played in the Premier League, so why should the manager succeed? 😂

3 out of 100? I watched the game - that's probably a fair assessment. Especially with the terrible dive.
He just looked totally uninterested - I expected more and wonder if we'll see much more of him at West Ham.
He is actually a talented and good player, but with a bad transfer he buried his career. He needs to move to another championship.
I hope West Ham will get rid of him in the summer.
It's been such a long time since I saw him player - he was great at the Euros and I totally agree... he needs to move on in the Summer and I think that he will, especially as Moyes seems to prefer playing Bowen up front when Antonio is injured.
