⚽ WOX FPL GW18 Update and Contest Winner 🏆
Were you ready for Gameweek 18? I was. But not ready enough! With the Premier League deciding to call yet another game off less than 2 hours before kick off, I was left fuming after taking a 4 point hit to get Matty Cash in just moments before their announcement. Did they wait for me to submit my transfer having spent all morning thinking about it? Yes. I'm fairly sure they did.
Gameweek 18 Round-Up
With only 4 games going ahead, a low scoring Gameweek was expected but with the Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City still playing, many of the more popular players were still racking up good scores.
With go-to captain Mo Salah picking up his first blank since Gameweek 2, it was an opportunity for anybody taking a risk on somebody else to gain an advantage.
Or as was the case with this week's winner, playing the Free Hit Chip and selecting the following team...
Whilst still getting caught out by the late Aston Villa postponement, the luxury of having players come off the bench added an extra 4 points which proved to be the difference this Gameweek.

Overall Ranking
Having taken an 8 point hit in an effort to get 11 playing players, @the-gorilla did just enough to hand top spot over to @captain36 who was able to field a strong 10-man line-up with just 1 transfer.
With the league bunching up in 6th position and below, a strong score of 58 points by @chenty has seen him move up into 6th spot and replaces @arahman in 3rd for the overall prizes.
Head-to-Head League
Runaway leader @captain36 was able to pick up another victory and with 2nd place @the-gorilla only able to pick up a draw, @captain36 was able to extend his lead at the top. With a solid win over @gabikay, @chenty has now moved up to 2nd in the table, 7 points behind the current leader.
With the top 2 facing off in Gameweek 19, the chasing pack will be hoping that @chenty can curb @captain36's dominance.

That wasn't so much of a solid win, @chenty barely escaped me. With matches being cancelled at such short notice, all one can do is to hope that his remaining team plays good.
It's a very difficult period. Especially with the Premier League waiting so late to cancel games - I had 5 players lined up for Liverpool v. Leeds which is going to make things difficult for me!
