It seems to me that you chose a photograph full of nostalgia, at least to me the rain gives me that feeling. By giving it the sepia tone and removing the reddish reflections it gained strength and now it is an important photograph. I like it for a mystery or intrigue story.@rut-ru
You are right, the photo has changed and I also like some understatement.
