Potato Carving / Mouth Carving
Hello dear community of WORLD OF XPILAR Today I want to share with you a hobby that I have ..... carving potatoes, YES like you just read it, carving potatoes to spend my free time! Let me show you how I made this mouth in a step by step.
First we need a potato :
I like to choose potatoes with good shape to be able to carve, also I try to find potatoes without defects or holes.
What materials do I use?
Well, this technique of carving fruits and vegetables requires special tools such as these Taiwanese knives, each one has a function and is used depending on the cut you need
first you have to define the size of the lips and teeth.
then the excess of the teeth is removed and the gums are defined
then the depth of the mouth between the teeth and the lips is defined.
To make it more realistic, the teeth are polished and the corners are rounded for better detail.
time for completion 25 min
I like to use potatoes for their firmness and easy carving.
