The Origin of The World
Now I will tell you about the origin of the world.
At that time my planet burned with energy and the trees sunk their roots into the fire, growing luxuriant without ever being consumed. The ground was covered with a thin layer of snow that never melted.
The planet had no satellites like the moon, nor a sun like yours, nor did we know the night because ours was a world of light. We suffered neither heat nor cold because ours was a world in balance.
We were the only inhabitants of the planet, just us, aquatic creatures who lived in the immense seas. The emerging lands were small and impossible to reach due to the heat they gave off. We didn't need to feed ourselves because we could get our energy from water.
Then everything changed. The fire gradually died out, the trees lost their energy, and the seas cooled as darkness enveloped the planet.
It was then that we were forced to leave and arrived here on the still uninhabited planet Earth.
STEPS
With the pencil I start to outline the main shapes of the two islands, the horizon and the clouds, with colored pencils I sketch the trees
I define the trunk and crown of the trees and outline the shape of the land on the two islands.
I color the soil of the islands orange to give the idea of fire reflecting on the sea. I color the sea with blue and light blue, while I color the sky with blue and purple.
I add fire in the treetops with orange, and I color the orange reflection in the sky. The clouds are outlined in gray with a yellow shadow.
Finally, since pastel colors are very delicate, I increase brightness and saturation in the last photo to bring out the flames and the contrast between warm and cold colors.
