The World of XPILAR - LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #045 - A desert of salt
The photo was taken in northern Argentina. The place is Salinas Grandes. It was once a lake, but it dried up and left a concentration of salt. Mining of salt is going on, but that area was closed to visitors. I was here during the wet season, when the area is flooded. Then you will see the reflections on the surface.
