The world inventions: The history and the case of the souvenirs!
Souvenir is actually a French word, and it means a memory that you collect from place to place where you have been in the world, and there are many nice pictures on the internet, and many nice and personal and private stories to take part in!
The idea to souvenirs is actually American, and the first souvenirs coming to the world were actually designed in 1914 of Morris Fuller Benton for American Type Founders. This company was a business company that started its actions at the 8 February 1892, and the company was dissolved in 1993. Hence, it existed for nearly 100 years. Souvenirs are also based on Schelter-Antiqua and Schelter-Italics, an Art Nouveau-type from 1905 given by JG Schelter & Giesecke, a foundry in Leipzig. So, the interest and the attention for souvenirs started around 1900 and pretty much before 1900, but the business was not made into knowledge management as the beginning of the 1900s.
So, what is a souvenir? It can be any object that gives you memory about a country, or a place-of-origin in a country. There are much culture, many ceremonies and much traditions about many small groups and many small societies in the large society in the world. Popular and desired and famous souvenirs are in the markets in addition to the normal ones. In Denmark, we have for instance The Little Mermaid, and this is also given as animated film and musical. Hence, we are taking the ideas to the market, national or international, and we give them brands and stories like brand associations, and many products really have a brand where they are as they are when being in the market.
So, what is the known souvenir from Paris and France? It is really The Eiffel Tower. And through many years of time since the very opening of this tower, this has been the brand over all other brands in Paris. And you can see The Eiffel Tower from many angles since it is a great tower! The buildings everywhere are nice, and it is especially lucrative to have your working office on the top floor of the skyscrapers in Dubai, in New York, in Tokyo, in London, in Stockholm, in Copenhagen or whatever you call the city around the earth.
We do not have to mention all of the popular souvenirs in the world, but be market orientated where you are, and visit the shops to see what they are marketing and selling. Most of the souvenirs have their stories. As for instance the Oscar statuette. You can buy it in Seattle, New York or other places. And there is also much to enjoy in the Rockefeller Center, and these persons fra Standard Oil were reflected and intelligent, and some became professors in the USA. And you should show your quality in writing and in talking by becoming employed in the best universities at the planet!
What is popular too see at Iceland? All the sagas and everything with Snorre Sturlason? You can read and write, or write and read, and there are many libraries in the world going into these facts. You can visit much at Iceland, for example Thingvellir National Park or whatever. On Iceland, you can pick rocks and lava, and these things often get your own private place in your collection.
So, is any nation special in relation to another? Yes, there are history and stories there, and we find much enjoyment and pleasure about doing different things around the earth. And we are all at earth, unless we are engaged with space research. This type of research is popular, and we should have the best results in schools to be there.
