The world inventions: The history and the case of the defibrillators!
Several runners and football players have fallen down to the ground during training or competition, and we should thank higher powers that we live sometimes. And the life is not necessarily not of course, but we should take it as it comes.
Defibrillators were first demonstrated in 1899 by Jean-Louis Prévost and Frédéric Batelli, two physiologists from University of Geneva, Switzerland. They discovered that small electrical shocks could induce ventricular fibrillation in dogs, and that larger charges would reverse the condition. So, there is high competence behind using and making utility of the defibrillators, and sometimes this can be the difference between being alive or being dead. We have experienced several people where the heart has stopped suddenly, and that was for instance the situation for the earlier football player and football coach Staale Solbakken for Norway, for Christian Eriksen playing football for Inter and Denmark, and for Carl-Erik Torp playing for Brann in Bergen. They suddenly fell down to the football field, and it was problems with the heart. But we love these players, and we should use the religions to thank for their lives. And there have been more people in addition, and the defibrillator brought them back to life, and this is the situation for several people in history having problems with their heart. You never know how long you are alive in life, and that is true for every human at earth. And the family you are coming from has either a strong, a middle strong, or a weak heart, and this is coming to you when you grow up and you are an adult person.
Professor Frank Pantridge is remembered as the cardiologist who invented the portable defibrillator - a device that has helped save millions of lives over the past 50 years. Many people can use a defibrillator, and you need to give a shock to the heart to the person that has problems to bring the person back to life. We all want to live as long as possible, if we have not had trouble and/or mental issues in the life.
The development of new ICD leads, shock algorithms, high-energy defibrillators and rapid energy supply has improved the devices. Nevertheless, the discussion regarding ‘shock or no shock’ to test the system intraoperatively has not silenced yet. Hence, we should use the defibrillator to give the patient a shock, and this is the way we can get the heart back to the common heartbeats. And losing your life for a while, you should be brought to a hospital and they should do their ordinary examinations in the case that has occurred.
Who can use a defibrillator? You don't need to be trained to use a defibrillator – anyone can use it. There are clear instructions on how to attach the defibrillator pads. It then assesses the heart rhythm and will only instruct you to deliver a shock if it's needed. And may you need to use cardiac compressions as well. When fighting for life, or being in life or being dead, we should do everything to get the person in question back to life, if he or she is not too old!
Depending on the features, a new automated external defibrillator typically costs between $1,100 and $2,500. Most models fall within the $1,400-$1,900 range. For those looking to save a bit more, refurbished AEDs are also available at a lower price point. An AED, or automated external defibrillator, is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It's a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, medical device that can analyze the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.
So, when the heart is exposed for hard events or hard exercises, you should have a defibrillator nearby, if the accident is present in one person’s life. This device has brought many people back to life, so this equipment is worth gold.
