You know, telling the stories about the Vikings, and all their wars to fight for the kingdom, the freedom and development and diversity many places are really great. We thank them for this today, and we love all the organizations that are taking part in this today, even the universities in Norway!

Today, we are grateful for all the research and all the studies at NHH in Bergen with studies on international economy and shipping! The international economy is around us when buying and selling articles to other countries than Norway, and we can also sell what we want in domestic markets.

We could go to a foreign country nowadays, and they have studies about the Vikings! Amazing! But these fighters had to use their brains and their efforts to win the wars, especially at the oceans. And there are many famous Viking ships used to take part in wars, for instance Gokstad, Oseberg and Tune. And the most fantastic ways we are perceiving these viking ships today, are in their design, and in the ways they were constructed. How could these ships really float? And how did the Vikings organize their travelling to win the wars as they really occurred at sea?

The Viking ships were built by the Scandinavians during the Viking Age (c. 790 CE - c. 1100 CE) and were used both within Scandinavia and beyond for purposes ranging from being the most important means of transport to trade and warfare. Viking expansion, moreover, would not have been possible without ships. We should always think what we need in a nation and why, and how things should be organized even better to take care of what is happening. And today, we love everyone taking part on the journey that we are within from time to time.

Viking ships were marine vessels of unique structure, used in Scandinavia from the Viking Age throughout the Middle Ages. The boat-types were quite varied, depending on what the ship was intended for, but they were generally characterized as being slender and flexible boats, with symmetrical ends with true keel.

So, the Viking ships were most used to trade and warfare, and their are of course ramifications of these, as they all perceived! And in really we are never treated all the ramifications that are possible, but we use the suitable patterns at sea as we just find comfort and convenience within, and that are used for the purpose of doing transport by sea.

The Viking ships were built not to sink! How was this possible? To do this required naval force and an ability to sail far on the open ocean without sinking. The Viking longship fit the bill brilliantly. Longships featured sharp bows that could easily cut through the sea, thereby reducing resistance when motive force was applied to the hull either through sails or oars.

There are carvings in the Viking ships that we can perceive several places, and this meant that people felt pleasure with building and with using these ships. There were ornaments on them, and when making studies in the philosophy of art and in art, we are also thinking about what we are seeing and how this was possible.

The Vikings ate fly agaric to lose the inhibitions, when doing wars at sea. And there were many battles, and what they said to each other, and all the equipments they were using, are something we find in the literature today, both at home and abroad!
