Your Writing Story Competition (106) – The Vacation

A challenge was put up by one of the biggest dance labels in the country. The reward for the best dancer is a vacation on the most luxurious and most expensive boat. A boat that looks like heaven on earth. With a sophisticated interior, the boat was a definition of luxury and comfort. Sandra, one of the top dancers in her city was heading home after a long workout at the gym. Luckily for her, she saw a poster about the dance competition. As someone who not only has passion for dancing, but also lives and breathes dancing, became interested instantly… She immediately took out here phone and took a photo of the banner so she could follow up on the information that was provided.

Very excited, Sandra quickly rushed home and without even having a rest after an intense workout at the gym, dialed the phone number that was provided. In no time, she got a response and after further enquires, she got all the info she needed to take part in the competition. She knew that for her to win the mouthwatering price money and vacation on the most luxurious boats in the country, she needs to do more than her best as she there were going to be other super talented dancers participating in the competition as well.

The time for the competition was 2 weeks, so Sandra had enough time to prepare and get herself ready for the battle. It was fun for her and at the same time nervy because she has never participated in a competition as big as that. It was the biggest competition she can ever dream of. With constant practice and self-belief, it was time for competition. The moment of truth… the moment to put all her weeks of hard work into a life changing opportunity.

The stage was set, the judges were set, the crowd was present cheering and excited for the competition to kick off. The clock was ticking. “are you ready for the biggest dance competition in townnnnnnn” Said the host. A big scream from the audience… yessssssssss. In 3, 2, 1 the stage is set, contestant number 1 come and show the world what you got. After a super performance from the first contestant and a powerful standing ovation from the audience… Sandra began to doubt herself whether should can outperform the standard the first contestant has set. However, she continued to remind herself that she can do it and that she has to be relax and do what she loves best which is dancing and show the world that she is passionate and talented at what she does…

Contestant number 2, show us what you got… contestant 3, contestant 4, contestant 5…. And so on… the competition was progressing pretty well as the contestants were showing that it was truly a competition for the super talented. Sandra was contestant number 13. It finally got to her turn… she looked very nervous but once again, she had to remind herself to be strong and just express herself and do what she loves. After her performance, she received thundering standing ovation... Tears of joy on her face as she went backstage for the remaining contestants… All the contestants were done performing and giving their best. It was time for results…

The moment of truth… The moment you all have been waiting for... And the winner of this dance competition is…… everywhere was silent…. Sandraaaaaaaa….. she screamed at the top of her voice. It was a moment she would never forget in her life. She was giving the price money, and as well was going to go on a vacation on the best and most luxurious boats in the country. The experience was out of this world. The amazing view of nature's awesomeness, it was like she was in another planet... It was a sight to behold... She became famous and everyone wanted to take pictures with her… her life changed for good.
