Amazing architecture @stef1, incredible level of detail in the stonework. Whereas we have very large cathedrals in Denmark, they are nearly always just very "solid," impressive mostly by their size.
The cages are a bit gruesome, but that's history for us...
The church always loved to keep their "sheep" under control therefore, such display of their power is not really a surprise. I am glad that we do not live in that old time.
