Mountains of Georgia (PowerUp 100%). The World of XPILAR PHOTO & ART CONTESTS: LANDSCAPE & CITYSCAPE

All thoughts and hopes about travelling this summer. If everything is fine, I'll go to Georgia. It is open for travellers in 2021, it is beautiful and cheap, and, finally, I have relatives there. :)

One of the best destinations in Georgia is Svaneti Region.

The town's name is Mestia and it is accessible by intercity public transportation even in winter and has good tourist infrastructure. Budget travellers can find there a cheap bakery, small grocery shops, and affordable restaurants with wifi. Hostels are available too.

What is happening there in 2021? I don't know yet but everything can be solved, I am sure.

At the same time, marvellous nature is at arm's length.

To reach the fields on the right bottom corner of the photo, you need a (tough) walk for 2.5 hours up from Mestia (located below the wooded slopes). The way back is easier and takes an hour down the pathway.
The way by itself is worth hiking. As every single way in beautiful Svaneti.

People, exhausted with the urban life, who choose beaches as a vacation destination make a mistake... Go to mountains (any).

Photos can't compare with the feeling of being among these glittering giants - it is like being high on nature's beauty. Everybody who ever visited real mountains knows it well.
