This Photo is my entry for The World of XPILAR - B&W PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #105
The photo was taken in Istanbul, Turkey. You can enjoy this view when you go to the Gala Tower. The entrance fee is only a few euros - at least that's how it was when I was there last time. Around the tower itself is a kind of 360 degree balcony. So you can look once completely on Istanbul in all directions. The tower is 62 meters high (205 feet). However, since it is built on an elevated position, it towers much further above the city.
Aufgenomen wurde das Foto in Istanbul, Turkey. Diese Aussicht kann man genießen wenn man auf den Gala Turm geht. Der Eintritt kostet umgerechnet nur ein paar Euro - zu mindest war es so als ich das letzte Mal da war. Um den Turm selber geht eine art 360 Grad Balkon. Damit kann man einmal komplett auf Istanbul in alle Richtungen schauen. Der Turm ist knappe 62 Meter hoch (205 Fuß). Da er jedoch auf einer erhöhten Position gebaut ist, ragt er wesentlich weiter über die Stadt hinaus.

Yes, such places provide an ideal opportunity for a panorama.
I once shot Vyborg from Olaf's tower and I had a 50 mm lens. And I never remembered the panorama... :)
