This process of abandoning the countryside has occurred a lot in other countries like Spain where ghost towns have been formed. Most young people migrate to big cities in search of opportunities that satisfy them. There would have to be a change in the policies that promote and encourage living in the countryside and establishing families. Cheap vegetables on the shelves of stores in the past years spoiled people and they refused to grow their vegetables. But last year, prices started to rise a lot! What will happen next year? we don't know this, but it seems to me that because of the sanctions, people can return to their land plots again and start growing vegetables. But will they build houses and live permanently in rural areas? I'm not sure about that.
