Dubai the Gleaming Jewel of the World | United Arab EmiratessteemCreated with Sketch.

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 years ago

Greetings my fellow steemers, i hope all of you are having a wonderfull start of the day.

Today i'm gonna share with you a city known for its grandeur, towering skyscrapers, and vibrant culture. A city that became so famous in the last 10 years that very few people on earth still haven't heard of, a city that i call the gleaming jewel of the world, a city that you can most compare to Utopia these days, and that is the city of Dubai.

Arriving in the City of Arabian Opulence

I've been to Dubai 3 times and i still can't get enough of it, the moment you step out of the plane you get greeted by the the warm embrace of Dubai's desert air, feeling an immediate rush of energy and enthusiasm, the city's impressive infrastructure makes you drop your jaw while passing by architectural marvels, the multicultural atmosphere intoxicates you, and you just can't help but smile at the sight of people from all corners of the globe gathered in one place.

So the experience i'm gonna share with you begins with the world's tallest building, standing tall and proud, touching the sky itself - The Burj Khalifa. The Burj Khalifa is considered the tallest building in the world with it's 830 meters height and as tall as it is, it is far more noticable during the night, because of it's huge illumination of lasers creating these fascinating cinametics, also not to forget it's beautifull fountain in front enchanting the spectators with it's water display.

The city itself has always being synonymous with luxury, opulence and boundless adventure. From towering skyscrapers to rich cultural heritage and exhilarating experiences, Dubai captivated my senses and still leaves an indelible mark on my young soul.

Experiencing Old and New

Overall the UAE is not merely a playground for the wealthy, because it also effortlessly blends it's ancient past with modern wonders, because as much as i was fascinated by the city of Dubai i was also impressed by it's capital's cultural heritage Abu Dhabi visiting the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a religious and architectural landmark located in the capital of UAE - Abu Dhabi. The name of the mosque comes from the UAE's founder and he was also the first president of these Emirates. Well after hearing the name i'm not suprised that the mosque was named after him, because he played a crucial role in the country's development and modernization. I also remembered that the mosque is one of the largest mosques in the world and it's design is a fusion of various architectural styles, combining elements of Islamic, Moorish, and Mughal architecture.

The mosque features stunning white marble exteriors adorned with intricate floral patterns and delicate calligraphy. The main prayer hall boasts one of the world's largest chandeliers, made of thousands of Swarovski crystals.

The most interesting thing is not that this mosque serves as a place of worship for Muslims, but it also welcomes visitors of all faiths and nationalities which i highly respect. Altough i am christian i don't consider myself to be very religious, but spiritual person, anyway i highly respect the muslims for granting people with religions differing from theirs to purport their faiths and beliefs in this astounding place. I heard that it is renowned for its open-door policy, promoting cultural exchange, understanding,
and tolerance. Visitors can explore the mosque's expansive grounds, take guided tours to learn about Islamic art and architecture, and experience the serenity and grandeur of this magnificent structure. With that said UAE is also a place that is basically a melting pot of cultures.

Dazzling Entertainment

Dubai is renowned for its extravagant entertainment options, and I couldn't resist exploring them. Before i continue i want to note that i was there with my girlfriend and i won't talk about going shopping in the Dubai Mall with her, because it was boring. So after we did the typical girly stuff going around the Mall shopping we went to the Burj Khalifa to see the view at day, and i'm gonna say altough i am afraid of heights i actually felt quite safe up there, almost a kilometer off the ground, maybe it was the view that made me forget my fear of heights, because up there i felt like a god and why not feel that way i'm on the top of the world hehe.

After that we went exploring the bars and clubs and i can say that what they say about Dubai is true, 80% of the people there are not even arab, but all gathered around the world in one utopian place. The one thing that makes Dubai expensive is the alcohol, because all of the alcohol is an import and i'm not even suprised, because the people who follow the law of the Islam don't even drink alcohol, it is mainly for the tourists.

Anyway i remember that this particular place after the Burj Khalifa we went to this club on the beach, the club is basically a beach bar playing this commercial music and to be honest it gave me some Spain vibes, but just with big skyscrapers in the background. It was at the end of April and i felt like it was summer, but note that the best time to go to Dubai is to go in the winter, because going to Dubai during the summer will be a wasted holiday, because during the summer Dubai is so hot you can't go outside, because it's like 40 degrees hot. I picked this time of the year, because i got an offer i couldn't refuse and Dubai didn't seem that pricey.

Thrills and Adventures

Oh god i won't forget this day where i felt like i was participating in a story from the book called 1001 nights. I felt that way, because i had a suprise for my girlfriend and i told her i had a suprise for her the moment we woke up, but i didn't tell her what it was and she was begging me all day, but i said that the first stop is at the beach.

We went there she asked what the suprise was and i told her that after we finish catching tan in the beach i will give her a tip and the tip i told her was this "1001 nights" nothing more and the funny thing is that i was laugh pissing her off, because she couldn't understand the suprise. After that we went eating in this high end restaurant called Bubbalicious, the moment we sat there she said i don't see 1001 nights thinking this was the suprise, maybe she thought that because this particular restaurant has a reputation as one of the city's top brunch spots, but no i told her that after we eat i'm gonna bring her another tip. I didn't take photos of my food, but i took something that caught my attention there, a collection of different cakes.

Anyway after we finished eating i told her that we are going in the Dubai desert, which is a part of the suprise, she immediately thought that we were gonna ride camels, but i told her that she will see when we get there. So we went in the desert, but there were no camels, but buggies.

Attention, for every person who is considering on going on a holiday to Dubai you should definitely try driving buggies in the desert it's so extreme it gives you so much adrenaline. For a moment i thought i was in one of the Mad Max movies driving through the wasteland, listening to the loud engine, putting the pedal to the end and drifting on the sand, it makes you feel so alive.

008D6519-AABB-48E9-B106-6C4ED112852E.gif

The funny thing is that while i was driving through the desert, one time i drove so fast we flew over a dune for a few seconds and my girlfriend freaked out screaming at me "You are not normal", but then i told her in the exact the same moment like a movie star "No worries baby Mad Max is here". It was hilarious, because she kept saying we were gonna airborne somewhere, but i kept repeating the exact same words "Im Mad Max" "Im Mad Max", now remembering and writing this at the same time i started to laugh, it was just so funny.

Anyway after we finished with the Mad Max experience she said if this is half of the suprise she won't be annoying me anymore, because she can't think of anything that is more of "1001 nights". Well she has a point, but she was missing the whole picture, because there is 1001 and there is the word "NIGHTS". So we went back to the hotel and then i took her to this place called Pier 7 Atelier M that is a popular dining destination located at Dubai's Marina.

It is basically a distinctive waterfront development featuring seven different restaurants, each occupying a floor of the building. To be honest it was quite pricey, but as i said i was 3 times in Dubai and never went there, so i gave it a shot and it was magnificient. To be more specific this restaurant is known for having a panoramic views of the Dubai Marina and the special thing about it is that the menu shows a fusion of flavors from various Mediterranean cuisines.

We went there and she asked "So what does the 1001 nights has to do with this, very esteemed restaurant?" and i told her to order something small, because later we are going to the desert again. I can't describe you the face she did when she heard the word desert again it was so funny. Anyway we ate and went to the desert and more specifically right in the heart of the desert.

The place i took her is called Bab Al Shams Desert Resort which is a luxury desert retreat located in the heart of the Arabian Desert, and the suprise is called "1001 nights", because it offers a unique and authentic desert experience and because the resort is designed to resemble a traditional Arabic fort, blending seamlessly with the surrounding desert landscape.

I thought it was a good idea, because this particular resort offers various recreational activities to make the most of the desert surroundings. And by make the most of the desert surroundings i mean going on desert safaris, ride camels, or enjoy horseback riding through the dunes. I never rode a camel at night and nor she so we gave it a shot and to be honest i was never into the whole "romantic" nonsense thing, but it felt romantic, i am 100% sure, because it has something to do when you are with your partner there, i just can't explain it it's like magic and you just vibe and enjoy the moment.

I can keep sharing memories in this post, but it is already too long so i'm gonna end it with a conclusion.

My holiday in Dubai was an unforgettable escapade filled with a blend of ancient charm and modern splendor. This may be my 4th time going to this place filled with architectural wonders and vibrant cultural heritage, but it is my first time going there with a loved one, so i can say that Dubai offered me a sensory overload of experiences. It is a city that defies expectations and pushes the boundaries of what is possible. As an eastern european guy, I can confidently say that Dubai has etched itself into my travelogue as a destination like no other—a place where dreams come alive and where the only limit is the extent of your imagination.

Thank you very much for such a cool, thorough and bright post. I'm excited about it. I was also in Dubai, but it was a business trip. I only had the opportunity to walk around the city once, so I visited the Buj Khalifa. We walked around the city almost at random, so I didn't get 10% of the impressions that you did :)

You did a great job of sharing your impressions of the trip, so I have no doubt that you had an incredible vacation. I wish you to visit this city for the fourth time!

I went to dubai few years ago, since then i want to go there again, but i couldn't find time for it. Had great time there, looks like you had great time too. :)

Well, every time i go there with more money and still i learn that the more money you have the better time you will have there, so some day i will think about of moving to live there, because its just so safe there and maybe the safest place in the world right now. Its just that there’s no crime there.

Yea, I also heard about what happens to people who commits crime. I have major respect to uae for that.
