Datsan Gunzechoynei, St. Petersburg.

Construction lasted from 1909 to 1915. The first Buddhist service was held on February 21, 1913 in honor of the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty. The Buddha statue for the newly opened temple was donated by King Rama VI of Siam[1]. The consecration of the church took place on August 10, 1915. Lama Agvan Lobsan Dorzhiev himself became the first abbot (shireete).

It may seem that on the first (and others where there are external walls) there is a distortion of perspective and vertical lines converge at the top. They do come down a bit at the top, but that's the project. A Buddhist temple lives its own life. Services and rituals are held here, people just come here with their thoughts.

On the second floor there are several rooms where lamas receive people regardless of their faith. They help in the health of the soul and body.

If you happen to visit St. Petersburg, I recommend visiting this place. Here everyone can find something for themselves.

Строительство продолжалось с 1909 по 1915 год. Первое буддистское служение состоялось 21 февраля 1913 года в честь 300-летия династии Романовых. Статуя Будды для вновь открытого храма была подарена королём Сиама Рамой VI[1]. Освящение храма состоялось 10 августа 1915 года. Первым настоятелем (ширээтэ) стал сам лама Агван Лобсан Доржиев.

Может показаться, что на первом (и других, где есть внешние стены) имеет место искажение перспективы и вертикальные линии сходятся вверху. Они действительно немного сводятся в верхней части, но таков проект. Буддистский храм живёт своей жизнью. Здесь проводятся служения и обряды, сюда просто приходят люди со своими мыслями.

На втором этаже есть несколько комнат, где ламы принимают людей вне зависимости от их веры. Они оказывают помощь в здоровье души и тела.

Если вам доведётся побывать в Петербурге, рекомендую посетить это место. Здесь каждый может найти что-то для себя.
