Flying over the nest of the mind - Photo contest: post processing #6
Before I start fooling around, I would like to say a few serious words.. I say words of gratitude to the author of the idea of this stage of the contest @ty-ty (by the way, also for the fact that his nickname is very easy to type on the keyboard, it matters to me).
When starting the project of this event, I had in mind various aspects of the technical processing of raw photography. Thanks to the ideas proposed by Ty-ty, the event gained much greater depth. The technical component of post-processing has acquired the aspect of choosing and achieving a goal, meaning, idea. I dare to assume that this aspect is even more important than post-processing, although without high-quality execution of the latter, the result is unattainable. But this is a moot point.
I hope that Ty-ty's ideas have not been exhausted and besides, some of the participants are ready to state their topics.
Перед тем как начать дурачиться, я хотел бы сказать несколько серьёзных слов.. Я произношу слова благодарности автору идеи этого этапа конкурса @ty-ty (кстати, ещё и за то, что его ник очень легко набирается на клавиатуре, для меня это имеет значение).
Начиная проект этого мероприятия я имел в виду разные аспекты технической обработки сырой фотографии. Благодаря идеям, предложенным Ty-ty, мероприятие обрело гораздо большую глубину. Техническая составляющая постобработки приобрела аспект выбора и достижения цели, смысла, идеи. Осмелюсь предположить, что этот аспект даже более важен, чем постобработка, хотя без качественного выполнения последней результат бывает недостижим. Но это вопрос спорный.
Я надеюсь, что на этом идеи Ty-ty не исчерпались и кроме того, кто-то из участников готов заявить свои темы.
Пришло время перейти от торжественной части к вечеринке.

С этого мы и начнём... сделаем фотографию более холодной (сдвинем баланс белого в холодные синие тона)... я замерзаю от своей холодности, сознание слегка затуманено (трогаем ползунок "удаление дымки" влево... СТОП!
Я увидел мираж... над снежным полем... в небесах... начал проявляться город... древние городские стены, они всё отчётливее, но я их не узнаю... это город из моего другого воплощения, из прошлой жизни.... может быть поэтому мне так холодно... но я вижу, как зарождается утренний свет, он пока такой же холодный, но он даёт надежду...ущипните меня, я замёрз и хочу проснуться...

I saw a mirage... over a snowy field... in heaven... the city began to manifest itself... The ancient city walls, they're getting clearer, but I don't recognize them... this is a city from my other incarnation, from a past life.... Maybe that's why I'm so cold... but I see how the morning light is emerging, it is still as cold, but it gives hope... pinch me, I'm cold and I want to wake up...

Но холод не так прост и совсем не хрупок. Он может сделать рассвет тяжёлым. Не сдерживай своё тепло... даже если иногда твоя холодность тебя защищает. Для охлаждения продуктов холодильник потребляет много энергии...солнце согревает всех и его тепло не иссякает.

В постобработке я использовал только базовую коррекцию экспозиции, и все три вида фильтров Лайтрум - градиентный, радиальный и кисть коррекции. Но я использовал их слишком часто. В результате программа даже не смогла сохранить изображение отдельным файлом на диск. Мне пришлось делать скрины из самой программы. Возможно был какой-то сбой, но от этого мне легче.
И ещё... я применил обрезку левого края. Скамья стала более доступной, появилось ощущение, что я могу присесть :)
В полном размере это выглядело бы так.. Это другой результат, но он тоже мне нравится.
In post-processing, I used only basic exposure correction, and all three types of Lightrum filters - gradient, radial and correction brush. But I used them too often. As a result, the program could not even save the image as a separate file to disk. I had to make screenshots from the program itself. Maybe there was some kind of glitch, but it makes me feel better.
And more... I applied the left edge trim. The bench became more accessible, there was a feeling that I could sit down :)
In full size it would look like this.. This is a different result, but I like it too.

I don't think that the guys who left the cave paintings would call it "fooling around", it's just that you followed in the footsteps of your ancestors at the subconscious level :).

Yes, I am fond of philately. It's not exactly a postage stamp, in the way we're used to using them. This is an indication that the recipient, not the sender, pays for the postage. Handy for students lol who run out of money and want to let their parents know it's time to restock :).
