Calendula. Un semplice fiore dalle mille risorse (IITA/ENG)

Un fiore molto comune e uno dei pochi che si vedono anche in questo momento nei parchi delle città.
La calendula. Questa allegra e colorata margherita è amata anche dagli insetti impollinatori (api, bombi, ...).
Questo fiore semplice e comune, la Calendula, è davvero un fiore dalle mille risorse!
Questo fiore infatti non viene utilizzato solo per creare angoli colorati in giardini e parchi urbani, ma viene utilizzato anche nella medicina tradizionale e per i prodotti cosmetici ed, inoltre, è commestibile.
Per carità, sul suo sapore non so dirvi nulla, non penso che lo assaggerò mai, però alcune immagini ve le posso far vedere...
Alcune sue caratteristiche lo rendono immediatamente riconoscibile.



Esistono circa 30 specie di questo arbusto i cui fiori, margherite semplici o doppie, formano dei bei cuscini colorati di circa 50 centimetri.
I suoi colori sono generalmente arancio e giallo e la dimensione del fiore è variabile.
Il genere più utilizzato nei giardini è la calendula officinalis ma si può trovare anche spontaneamente in natura e forse nei campi vi è anche capitato di incontrarla.
Il suo fiore si apre al mattino per poi chiudersi la sera e, secondo una tradizione contadina, se il fiore viene chiuso al mattino, è probabile che arrivi la pioggia.
Il suo uso in medicina è noto da tempo e trova applicazioni soprattutto come antinfiammatorio, cicatrizzante e disinfettante. Si ottengono ottime ed efficaci tisane idratanti e benefiche.
Come vi ho detto un fiore davvero dalle mille risorse dal largo impiego.
Anche le sue fotografie si prestano bene ad essere utilizzate per colorati quadri e come stampati per tessuti.

There are about 30 species of this bush whose flowers, simple or double daisies, form beautiful colored cushions about 50 centimeters. Its colors are generally orange and yellow and the size of the flower is variable.

The most common genus used in gardens is calendula officinalis but it can also be found spontaneously. Its flower opens in the morning and then closes in the evening and, according to a rural tradition, if the flower is closed in the morning, it is likely that rain will come.
Its use in medicine has long been known and has applications above all as an anti-inflammatory, healing and disinfectant. Excellent and effective moisturizing and beneficial herbal teas are obtained.

This cheerful and colorful daisy is also loved by pollinating insects (bees, bumblebees, ...).
The calendula is a very rustic plant and loves the sun and also for this it is very used in the parks of my city. It can be annual or perennial and can be used to form borders or even colored spots in the middle of the lawn. For its reproduction we use the sowing that must be done in the month of March. A good fertilization and regular watering help the flowering of this plant.
