Dear Italy....... Greetings from Sri Lanka!!!
Hello friends,
I think you are doing well. Today I am going to share with you about sigiriya, a place that attracts local and foreign tourists.
Sigiriya is one of the attractive place in the Sri Lanka. It is built around a 600 feet high mountain. If functioned as the capital of ceylon in the 5th century. Sigiriya was the famous art gallery and palace of king kashyapa who ruled at that time. The palace was built on top of a rock and below it were scattered water gardens.
Anyone who visits Sigiriya will be amazed at the sculptors' skills that built its rock gardens. It is also known as Sinhagiri and is world famous for sigiri murals and graffiti. This was declared a world heritage site in 1982. Built by king kashyapa, this masterpiece can be described as a place that examplifies the integration of urban architecture, construction technology, landscape gardening and water management in Sri Lanka at that time.

Some refer to the women depicted in these paintings as apsaras.
Sigiriya was first identified by archaeologist as a fort and later as a city. The Sigiri Rocks, the palace on top of it, the Malaka, the Water Gardens, the moats and the frescoes attract tourists from all over the world. But there are many other wonderful creations of King Kashyapa in the kingdom of Sigiriya that do not catch the eye of local and foreign tourists who climb back up the Sigiriya rock.Among them Atapattam Pokuna, Sigiriya Cave Inscription, North Gate, Naipena Cave, Ugul Gala, Asana Cave, Deraniyagala Cave and Rajasabha are important.

This is naturally formed in the shape of a snake foam due to the collapse of a large boulder. There is also a decorative canopy painting. On the way past the seating cave you will find this amazing design.

This is found on the way back down to visit Sigiriya. This is also a wonderful creation of Sigiriya. This is a trap set to throw large stones at enemies from above in the event of an enemy threat from below.

Reminiscent of the shape of an octagonal lantern, it is believed that King Kasyapa used it for water sports.
