There has been talk for some time about how to spread cryptocurrency payments not only in the world of the Internet, but also in our real and daily life when we go to our favorite shops or supermarkets for shopping and it would be nice to be able to make our purchases using the digital coins.
To date, unfortunately, only 15,174 companies worldwide accept bitcoin according to Fundera, if you like to analyze data and statistics take a look at their post How Many Businesses Accept Bitcoin?,in short, we are talking about very low figures.
I think that a fundamental thing to spread crypto-currency payments is to bring the whole ecosystem of virtual currencies closer to ordinary people by making them understand that it is not a niche sector accessible only to traders and the most experienced but it is a revolutionary system open to all and which benefits both those who spend them and those who accept them as a payment system.
In short, it is necessary that crypto currency becomes a usual topic of conversation, as when we talk about this and that when meeting a friend, so we need powerful awareness campaigns that reach everyone, perhaps through the most used social networks but also institutional channels, national and local to give greater trust to users.
So the first step to spreading the use of cryptos is definitely their mass spread. However, in my opinion, another important factor that should not be underestimated is the ease of obtaining crypto currencies.
Because it is true that in a few seconds anyone can download their wallet on their mobile phone and spend their crypto, but it is then necessary to deposit bitcoins or altcoins in our account and it is necessary to resort to exchange platforms that still require a registration procedure, or to make bank transfers or use a credit card that have specific costs that vary from country to country but also from the different offers of banking institutions.
So in my opinion, to achieve greater diffusion it is necessary to simplify the procedures to get our crypto and we should focus on a more popular and known system, i.e. ATMs in this case Bitcoin ATMs where it is possible to buy crypto currency in cash by sending it to the address of our wallet.
Are 10,000 cryptocurrency ATMs around the world enough?
These are the data released by a company specialized in the study of the market of ATM devices, the Coin ATM Radar, to be precise, there are currently 10,501 bitcoin ATMs around the world.
In Italy, in my country, unfortunately there are really a handful, about thirty for almost 60 million inhabitants, moreover the commissions are very high, in some cases they reach up to 10% and this discourages their use.
However, I remain of the opinion that this is a winning system because we have long been accustomed to using the ATM to withdraw cash money, so even those who are not familiar with the latest generation of apps and online accounts are not excluded from the world of crypto coins .
So for me we have to start from here: mass diffusion and ease in finding crypto even outside the internet circuit, at that point the law of supply and demand will apply and that is the greater the demand for shops that accept payments in Bitcoin and the greater the propensity of merchants to accept crypto as an alternative payment system.
It is a bit of the same process of spreading payments with credit cards when only cash was used and at the beginning - in my country it spread especially in the 1980s - it was too innovative a system seen with mistrust, commissions were higher and discouraged their use, even for merchants it was not very advantageous and in fact not everyone accepted card payments.
In short, just wait for history to repeat itself in some way.
Above all, wait for merchants to realize all the benefits of receiving payments in cryptocurrencies.
First of all the commission costs.
Transactions with traditional cards have costs that are between about 2 and 4%, while with crypto payments this percentage drops to about 1% and there would even be no charge if the crypto were received directly on the wallet.
The speed of the cryptocurrency transaction is unmatched, since it is not linked to waiting times due to banking processes but simply by the speed of the network so very often the transaction is immediate, it depends on the currency used.
There is no need for an intermediary to check the outcome of the transactions and this allows for greater security and lower costs.
It is clear that listing the advantages is not enough for a merchant to become interested in crypto currencies, an important step is that they become aware of the development potential of the entire crypto currency system and do not perceive them as something complex to use.
But for those who are still unfamiliar with cryptographic alphanumeric addresses of coins, today everything is more simplified, there are platforms that offer services tailored to the needs of the merchant, creating specific applications to allow its customers to make payments by scanning the QR code.
In short, you don't need to be a programmer to make or receive payments in bitcoin or altcoin, it's simpler than you think.
I got to know the world of cryptocurrencies when I came into contact with Steemit and timidly I began to take my first steps in the world of blockchain.I was immediately fascinated by the potential of the blockchain to upset the economic system known up to that time, the idea of a democratic economy that everyone can access and no longer just a niche of people expert in finance.
The thing that I would like to happen as soon as possible, is to be able to use my Steems directly to make purchases, but I believe this is a common desire of all of us users of the platform.
It would be nice if in addition to the usual features of our wallet - Transfer, Move to Savings, Power Up, Buy, Sell - the possibility of directly transferring our steems outside the platform was added.
But I think it's just a matter of time.

Se ne parla da tempo ormai di come diffondere i pagamenti in cripto non solo nel mondo di internet, ma anche nella nostra vita reale e quotidiana quando andiamo nei nostri negozi preferiti oppure nei supermercati per la spesa e sarebbe bello poter fare i nostri acquisti utilizzando le monete digitali.
Ad oggi purtroppo soltanto 15.174 aziende in tutto il mondo accettano bitcoin secondo Fundera, se vi piace analizzare dati e statistiche date un'occhiata al loro post How Many Businesses Accept Bitcoin?, insomma parliamo di cifre molto basse.
Io penso che una cosa fondamentale per diffondere i pagamenti in cripto valute sia avvicinare tutto l'ecosistema delle valute virtuali alla gente comune facendogli capire che non si tratta di un settore di nicchia accessibile soltanto ai trader e ai più esperti ma è un sistema rivoluzionario aperto a tutti e che avvantaggia sia chi li spende che chi li accetta come sistema di pagamento.
Insomma è necessario che la cripto valuta diventi un argomento di conversazione abituale, come quando si parla del più e del meno incontrando un amico, perciò ci vogliono delle campagne di sensibilizzazione potenti che raggiungano tutti, magari attraverso i social più utilizzati ma anche i canali istituzionali nazionali e locali per dare maggiore fiducia agli utenti.
Quindi il primo passo per diffondere l'uso delle cripto è sicuramente la loro diffusione di massa. Però a mio parere un altro fattore importante e che non va sottovalutato, è la facilità di procurarsi le cripto valute.
Perché è vero che in pochi secondi chiunque può scaricare il proprio wallet sul cellulare e spendere le proprie cripto, ma è necessario poi versare bitcoin o altcoin nel nostro account e bisogna ricorrere a piattaforme di exchange che richiedono comunque una procedura di iscrizione, oppure fare dei bonifici bancari o usare una carta di credito che hanno dei costi specifici che variano da paese a paese ma anche dalle diverse offerte degli istituti bancari.
Quindi a mio parere per raggiungere una maggiore diffusione è necessario semplificare le procedure per procurarci le nostre cripto e si dovrebbe puntare su un sistema più popolare e conosciuto da tutti cioè gli ATM in questo caso ATM Bitcoin dove è possibile comprare la cripto moneta in contanti versandola all'indirizzo del nostro wallet.
Sono sufficienti 10.000 ATM di criptovalute in tutto il mondo?
Questi sono i dati diffusi da una società specializzata nello studio di mercato dei dispositivi ATM, la Coin ATM Radar, per la precisione ci sono attualmente 10.501 ATM di bitcoin in tutto il mondo.
In Italia, nel mio paese, purtroppo ce ne sono davvero una manciata, una trentina per quasi 60 milioni di abitanti, inoltre le commissioni sono molto alte, in alcuni casi arrivano fino al 10% e ciò ne scoraggia il loro utilizzo.
Rimango però dell'idea che questo sia un sistema vincente perché siamo abituati ormai da tempo ad usare il bancomat per prelevare soldi cash, quindi anche chi non ha confidenza con le app e conti online di ultima generazione, non rimane escluso dal mondo delle cripto monete.
Quindi per me bisogna partire da qui: diffusione di massa e facilità nel reperire le cripto anche al di fuori del circuito di internet, a quel punto varrà la legge della domanda e dell'offerta e cioè maggiore sarà la richiesta di negozi che accettano pagamenti in Bitcoin e maggiore sarà la propensione degli esercenti ad accettare le cripto come sistema alternativo di pagamento.
E' un po' lo stesso processo di diffusione dei pagamenti con le carte di credito quando si usava soltanto il denaro contante e all'inizio -nel mio paese si diffuse soprattutto negli anni'80 - era un sistema troppo innovativo visto con diffidenza, le commissioni erano più alte e ne scoraggiavano il loro utilizzo, anche per gli esercenti non era molto vantaggioso e infatti non tutti accettavano i pagamenti con carta.
Insomma basta aspettare che in qualche modo la storia si ripeta.
Soprattutto aspettare che i commercianti si rendano conto di tutti i vantaggi legati al pagamento con le cripto valute.
Primo fra tutti le spese di commissione.
Le transazioni con carte tradizionali hanno dei costi che si aggirano tra il 2 e il 4% circa, mentre con i pagamenti in cripto questa percentuale scende all'1% circa e addirittura non ci sarebbe alcun addebito se le cripto venissero ricevute direttamente sul wallet.
La velocità della transazione delle cripto valute non ha paragoni, visto che non è legata ai tempi di attesa dovuti ai processi bancari ma semplicemente dalla velocità del network quindi molto spesso la transazione è immediata, dipende dalla moneta utilizzata.
Non serve un intermediario per controllare l'esito delle transazioni e ciò permette una maggiore sicurezza e minori costi.
E' chiaro che non basta elencare i vantaggi perché un commerciante cominci ad interessarsi alle cripto valute, un passo importante è che essi prendano coscienza delle potenzialità di sviluppo dell'intero sistema delle cripto valute e non le percepiscano come qualcosa di complesso da usare.
Ma per chi ha ancora poca dimestichezza con gli indirizzi alfanumerici crittografici delle monete, oggi è tutto più semplificato, esistono delle piattaforme che offrono servizi su misura in base alle esigenze del commerciante, creando delle applicazioni specifiche per consentire ai loro clienti di effettuare i pagamenti attraverso la scansione del codice QR.
Insomma non bisogna essere dei programmatori per effettuare o ricevere pagamenti in bitcoin o altcoin, è più semplice di quello che si pensa.
Io ho conosciuto il mondo delle cripto valute quando sono entrata in contatto con Steemit e timidamente ho cominciato a fare i miei primi passi nel mondo della blockchain. Mi ha subito affascinato la sua potenzialità di stravolgere il sistema economico conosciuto fino a quel momento, l'idea di un'economia democratica a cui tutti possono accedere e non più solo una nicchia di persone esperte in finanza.
La cosa che mi piacerebbe accadesse al più presto, è poter usare direttamente i miei steem per fare degli acquisti, ma credo questo sia un desiderio comune di tutti noi utenti della piattaforma.
Sarebbe bello che oltre alle solite funzionalità del nostro wallet, Transfer, Sposta nei Risparmi, Power Up, Acquista, Vendi, si aggiungesse la possibilità di trasferire direttamente i nostri steem al di fuori della piattaforma.
Ma credo che sia solo questione di tempo.

Davvero un’opinione molto interessante la tua...sono assolutamente d’accordo sul fatto che dovrebbero essere semplificate le procedure e anche sulla triste realtà che in Italia siamo ancora a zero per quanto riguarda la cultura e le informazioni sulle criptovalute.
Stavo pensando però anche che laddove esiste un bisogno può esserci un’opportunità. Per esempio creare una sorta di servizio per la gente comune, con un cambio veloce e commissioni accessibili, potrebbe essere un’idea vincente.
Sarebbe interessante capire se e come può essere strutturata praticamente una soluzione del genere gestita da noi. Pensiamoci...

In effetti sarebbe bello inviare una quantità di steem su un account steemit di fiducia e dopo poco vedersela arrivare direttamente in un wallet esterno.🤔 Potrebbe essere un servizio per la comunità italiana almeno all'inizio. Chissà.. Girolamo secondo me ci si può ragionare.😜
Sì, brava...che poi in effetti è quello che fanno gli exchanges, solo che non tutti li sanno usare, sono complicati da capire, in inglese e spesso si può sbagliare facilmente, rischiando di perdere tutto.
Il senso del servizio sarebbe “non preoccuparti, mandami quello che vuoi trasferire, verso cripto o verso fiat e io lo farò per te”.
Potrebbe essere un buon modo per favorire l’adozione delle criptovalute da parte di una platea sempre più ampia.
La difficoltà sarebbe quella di offrire una tutela verso chi ci trasferisce dei fondi, magari si potrebbe fare utilizzando sistemi che danno garanzie (tipo PayPal per capirci).
Chissà se c’è il modo di far quadrare il cerchio, ci sto pensando seriamente già da un po’ a questa cosa e il tuo post ha risvegliato l’idea...
