L'Ucraina sta resistendo in tutti i modi contro l'invasione dell'esercito russo che ormai è andato oltre il Donbass, regione in rivolta dal 2014 perché i separatisti chiedevano l'indipendenza dall'Ucraina.

Nonostante un vantaggio schiacciante della Russia in termini di militari, l'esercito ucraino e i civili armati stanno riuscendo a difendere Kiev, anche se non si sa per quanto tempo ancora.

Ma la forza della Russia è anche quella legata alla propaganda, alle fake news e ai cyberattacchi.

Il 22 febbraio era stato registrato un incremento significativo dei cyberattacchi in Ucraina e molti risalivano al 15 febbraio, quando una serie di attacchi Ddos che hanno l'obiettivo di bloccare reti e infrastrutture, ha colpito sia il governo che gli istituti bancari ucraini. Rif.

L'Ucraina non ha una struttura di Cyber Force, un'infrastruttura informatica statale di difesa e spionaggio con cui difendere i siti e dati sensibili.
E' una lotta impari!

Poi qualche giorno fa appare questo post su Twitter del collettivo attivista di Anonymus:

Successivamente in un loro comunicato dichiaravano:
Abbiamo mandato offline i siti governativi e girato le informazioni ai cittadini russi in modo che possano essere liberi dalla macchina della censura di Putin, per garantire al meglio la connessione online del popolo ucraino Rif.

E in effetti alcuni siti web governativi russi, compresi quelli del Cremlino e del ministero della Difesa sono stati presi di mira e resi irraggiungibili.

Insomma la guerra si combatte su più fronti e quello informatico è fondamentale.

Spero che il collettivo di Anonymus riesca a dare un grande contributo al popolo ucraino in questo momento così difficile e soprattutto che si possano unire e supportare silenziosamente a questa cyber guerra anche le intelligence degli Stati occidentali che sicuramente hanno la capacità di intervenire con operazioni cibernetiche di alto profilo.

We have taken government sites offline and turned the information over to Russian citizens so that they can be free from Putin's censorship machine, to best ensure the Ukrainian people are connected online. Ref

And indeed some Russian government websites, including those of the Kremlin and the Ministry of Defense have been targeted and made unreachable.

In short, the war is being fought on multiple fronts and the cyber one is crucial.

I hope that the Anonymus collective will be able to give a great contribution to the Ukrainian people in this difficult moment and especially that they can also be supported silently in this cyber war by the intelligence of Western states that certainly have the ability to intervene with high-profile cyber operations.
