Photo Time... Pecan Harvest

The hurricane last week knocked the pecans out of the tree. Unfortunately they are not quite ripe but if I dry them in the dehydrator they can still be useful. It is time consuming removing the husk and then the nut from the shell. But the mind is not taxed and is free to go here and there as the fingers and hands do the work.

L'uragano della scorsa settimana ha fatto cadere le noci pecan dall'albero. Purtroppo non sono del tutto maturi ma se li asciugo nel disidratatore possono comunque essere utili. È dispendioso in termini di tempo rimuovere la buccia e poi la noce dal guscio. Ma la mente non è tassata ed è libera di andare qua e là mentre le dita e le mani fanno il lavoro.
