A week has begun marked by uncertainty and not very comforting news about the Coronavirus situation.

By now Italy is stably around 20,000 infections a day, with variations that also depend on the number of swabs performed.

We are really risking the lockdown and I start to worry seriously because more and more people around me are contracting the virus.

Fortunately not strictly in my family, but around it yes.

For example, my son Leo has not been to school for a week because there have been cases of isolation and positivity among the teachers, luckily none of his section.

So, first as a precaution and then because the school has decided to close for two weeks, he is no longer going.

Even among my wife's colleagues there has been more than one infection in the last week. Fortunately, again there was no direct contact and for now we have escaped it.

It's clear, however, that if people continue with this mismanagement of their behaviors and don't pay the right attention, we will have really serious problems.

I think it's useless to blame the institutions because they take drastic decisions towards bars, restaurants, gyms, etc. if we do not first use all the appropriate precautions to frequent these places.

The result is that those who respect all the rules may then move less, do not go out, limit themselves and make sacrifices. On the other hand, those who do not care at all continue to do what they want, endangering the whole system both from an economic and a health point of view.

What you read here is the bulletin with the latest data on infections in my region, Campania.

It's clear that we are really in trouble, we are undergoing this second wave in full after having managed to escape the first.

The most alarming data concern the number of infected people, almost 2000 in a day, but also the increase in symptomatic, which came to represent 7% of the total infected. Furthermore, both ICU and inpatient places are starting to run out.

We need more sensitivity and more responsibility to overcome this difficult situation...but, are people able to truly sacrifice themselves for the common good?

I'm sorry, but I don't think so.
And I really hope I'm wrong.

Ciao a tutti 👋

E' iniziata una settimana all'insegna dell'incertezza e delle notizie poco confortanti che riguardano la situazione Coronavirus.

Ormai l'Italia è stabilmente intorno ai 20.000 contagi al giorno, con variazioni che dipendono anche dal numero di tamponi effettuati.

Stiamo davvero rischiando il lockdown ed inizio a preoccuparmi seriamente perché sempre più persone intorno a me stanno contraendo il virus.

Per fortuna non proprio strettamente nel mio nucleo familiare, ma intorno sì.

Per esempio, è già una settimana che mio figlio Leo non va a scuola perché ci sono stati dei casi di isolamento e di positività tra le maestre, per fortuna nessuna della sua sezione.

Così, prima per precauzione e poi perché la scuola ha deciso di chiudere per due settimane, non sta più andando.

Anche tra le colleghe di mia moglie si è riscontrato più di un contagio nell'ultima settimana. Fortunatamente, anche in questo caso non c'è stato contatto diretto e per ora l'abbiamo scampata.

E' chiaro, però, che se le persone continueranno con questa cattiva gestione dei loro comportamenti e non faranno la giusta attenzione, avremo davvero seri problemi.

Credo che sia inutile prendersela con le Istituzioni perché prendono drastiche decisioni nei confronti di bar, ristoranti, palestre ecc. se prima non usiamo tutte le precauzioni adeguate a frequentare questi luoghi.

Il risultato è che chi rispetta tutte le regole magari poi si muove di meno, non esce, si limita e fa sacrifici. Chi invece non se ne importa per niente, continua a fare ciò che vuole mettendo in pericolo tutto il sistema sia dal punto di vista economico che da quello sanitario.

Quello che leggete qui è il bollettino con gli ultimi dati dei contagi nella mia regione, la Campania.

E' chiaro che siamo davvero in difficoltà, stiamo subendo in pieno questa seconda ondata dopo essere riusciti a scampare alla prima.

I dati più allarmanti riguardano il numero di persone positive, quasi 2000, ma anche l'aumento dei sintomatici, arrivati a rappresentare il 7% dei contagiati totali. Inoltre, sia i posti in terapia intensiva che quelli di degenza iniziano a scarseggiare.

Abbiamo bisogno di più sensibilità e di maggiore responsabilità per superare questa difficile situazione...ma le persone sono in grado di sacrificarsi veramente per il bene comune?
Mi dispiace, ma non credo proprio.
E spero davvero di sbagliarmi.
