Dear friends, sports fans,
there is no time for the Serie A protagonists to catch their breath in this period, as they are expected to have three days of competition in just a week. Last night the thirteenth round was completed, which now brings the course to over a third of the overall length, and the picture of the situation is beginning to be decidedly clearer, perhaps for the first time this season.
Recovery of points and reshuffling of cards, in a particular situation like this year, will be possible until the end of the tournament, but the Italian championship already seems to have issued some partial verdicts, outlining a race with three contenders for the conquest of the Scudetto.

Milan, Inter and Juventus in fact are the only teams to have overcome the relative obstacles, confirming the impression of being at a higher level than their opponents. AC Milan, league leaders, in a year in which everything seems to run perfectly, also set another record thanks to his striker Rafel Leao, scoring the fastest goal in the history of Serie A after just six seconds.
The Rossoneri's first half was very close to perfection, and even in the second half the Sassuolo, who seemed to pay for the formidable start, brought limited headaches to their opponents, finding the final 1-2 goal only with a free kick in recovery time.
The absence of Ibrahimovic, forced to a longer stop than expected, could, however, complicate things in the following weeks, in which the leaders will have to compete against Lazio, Juventus and Atalanta. Despite the excellent first round played so far, I remain of my idea, considering Milan a step below the other two opponents, both for the general quality of the squad and for gameplay ideas.
What scares the Rossoneri most of all is Inter, now in their sixth consecutive league victory and only one point behind their "cousins". Antonio Conte was able to regroup the team, after the disappointing elimination from the Champions League, and to focus everyone's attention on the championship. The Suning Group, the owner of the team, has already been alerted for the January market, in which it seems that the Apulian coach wants to make further requests, in addition to those (already satisfied) presented in the summer, and in the case of another strengthening of the team, Inter would become even more the number one favourite to win the Scudetto.
Against Spezia, the Nerazzurri showed a bit of fatigue, especially at the end of the match, in which the Ligurians showed off with a decent reaction; the trip to Verona of the last round before the break seems to resonate like a sort of watershed of the Inter season, given that losing points in the Veneto region would risk further upsetting the nerves of an environment that is easy to depression and nervousness.
The new Juventus of Andrea Pirlo is proposed as the third wheel, perhaps as the main antagonist of Inter after the brilliant match staged at the Tardini against Parma. The Italian champions dominated the match, showing a fast and pleasant quality of gameplay that already seems to be absorbed by heart by the players. Compared to the past year, under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri, and to the one still preceding, the last of Massimiliano Allegri's winning cycle, the difference in attitude towards the orders of the coach, by the group, seems evident.

Everyone is willing to work hard, even Ronaldo, often seen chasing opponents in his own half, but who, despite the greater expenditure from a physical point of view, is going through one of the best starts of his career, with twelve goals in nine appearances. Around Turin, however, not all that glitters is gold: the team is still too subject to ups and downs, even within the same match, and the match against Parma could have taken a different turn without Buffon's miraculous saves.
In short, domination was, but also helped by a good dose of luck, not always present on other occasions: if you want to become credible in the fight for the title, Pirlo's guys must begin to concede less in defense and avoid those blacks-out so far seen in too many circumstances.
The two excellent defeats of the thirteenth round, Napoli and Roma, seem to have been completely ousted from the fight for the title, although the ranking is still short. The Neapolitans, having reached their fifth defeat of the season (including the one received by the sports judge due to the non-departure for Turin) are forced to question themselves about the goodness of a project, which also deprived of the quality of Insigne and Mertens, showed at the Olimpico against the Lazio all its limits. Gattuso, a tough coach but often unable to get out of the way of the team on bad days, is falling back into the mistakes seen in his past experiences, which confirmed him as a good coach but not a winner.

Roma was crashed by an excellent Atalanta, which, as per tradition, is slowly beginning to grow and reappear in the high ranking areas. Fonseca's team instead suffered, for the second time in a few weeks, a humiliating defeat, demonstrating the fact that the Portuguese coach's project cannot be considered up to important goals: the defensive limits of the Giallorossi are too evident, which have already conceded 21 goals in thirteen games, to think about competing for the title, but even fourth place could be at risk if Atalanta win, as likely, their recovery match and can definitely relaunch.
At the bottom of the ranking, the situations of the trio Crotone, Genoa and Torino are increasingly critical, four points behind the last four points, Spezia and Fiorentina, this one again chasing the first victory since Prandelli took over Iachini at the helm of the team. Furthermore, in the next round, the Viola will have to visit Juventus, while Giampaolo's Granata, for the moment confirmed at the helm of the second team of Turin albeit with the shadow of Donadoni behind them, will be on stage at Naples.
For the top positions, the matches between Milan and Lazio and between Verona and Inter are also interesting, while Genoa will deal with the Spezia, in a sort of salvation playoff.

Cari amici amanti dello sport,
non esiste tempo di rifiatare per I protagonisti della Serie A in questo periodo, dato che sono attesi da ben tre giornate di gara, nel giro di appena una settimana. Ieri sera si è completato il tredicesimo turno, che porta il percorso ormai ad oltre un terzo della lunghezza complessiva, e il quadro della situazione comincia ad essere, forse per la prima volta in stagione, decisamente più chiaro.
Recuperi e rimescolamenti della carte, in una situazione particolare come quella di quest'anno, saranno possibili fino alla fine del torneo, ma il campionato italiano sembra già aver emesso alcuni parziali verdetti, delineando una corsa a tre per la conquista del tricolore.
Milan, Inter e Juventus infatti, sono le uniche squadre ad aver superato i relativi scogli, confermando l'impressione di trovarsi ad un livello superiore agli avversari. Il Milan capolista, in un'annata nella quale tutto sembra girare alla perfezione, ha stabilito inoltre, grazie al suo attaccante Rafel Leao, un altro record, realizzando dopo soli sei secondi la rete più veloce segnata in Serie A.
Il primo tempo dei rossoneri è risultato quanto mai vicino alla perfezione, e anche nella ripresa il Sassuolo, che sembra iniziare a pagare il formidabile avvio, ha portato grattacapi limitati agli avversari, trovando la rete del definitivo 1-2 solo con un calcio di punizione in pieno tempo di recupero.
L'assenza di Ibrahimovic, costretto ad uno stop più lungo del previsto, potrebbe tuttavia farsi sentire nelle settimane successive, nelle quali la capolista dovrà cimentarsi contro Lazio, Juventus ed Atalanta. Nonostante l'ottimo girone d'andata fin qui disputato, rimango della mia idea, considerando il Milan un gradino sotto le altre due avversarie, sia per qualità generale della rosa, sia per idee di gioco.
A far paura più di tutti ai rossoneri rimane l'Inter, giunta alla sesta vittoria consecutiva in campionato e distanziata di un solo punto dai cugini. Antonio Conte è stato bravo a ricompattare il gruppo, dopo la cocente eliminazione dalla Champions League, e a focalizzare l'attenzione di tutti sul campionato. Il Gruppo Suning, proprietario della squadra, è già stato allertato per il mercato di gennaio, nel quale pare che il tecnico salentino voglia avanzare ulteriori richieste, oltre a quelle (già tutte soddisfatte) presentate in estate, e nel caso di un altro rafforzamento della rosa, l'Inter diverrebbe ancora di più la favorita numero uno per lo scudetto.
Contro lo Spezia, i nerazzurri hanno evidenziato un po' di stanchezza, specialmente sul finale di gara, nel quale i liguri si sono messi in mostra con una discreta reazione; la trasferta di Verona dell'ultimo turno prima della sosta, sembra risuonare come una specie di spartiacque della stagione nerazzurra, dato che perdere punti in terra veneta rischierebbe di far saltare ulteriormente i nervi ad un ambiente facile alla depressione e ai nervosismi.
La nuova Juventus di Andrea Pirlo si proprone come terzo incomodo, forse come la principale antagonista dell'Inter dopo la prova di forza messa in scena al Tardini contro il Parma. I campioni d'Italia hanno dominato l'incontro, mettendo in mostra una qualità di gioco veloce e piacevole che sembra già essere assorbita a memoria dagli interpreti. Rispetto all'anno passato, sotto la guida di Maurizio Sarri, e a quello ancora precedente, l'ultimo del ciclo vincente di Massimiliano Allegri, la differenza di attitudine verso gli ordini dell'allenatore, da parte del gruppo, sembra evidente.
Tutti sono disposti a sacrificarsi, persino Ronaldo, visto spesso a rincorrere gli avversari nella propria metà campo, ma che, nonostante il maggior dispendio da un punto di vista fisico, sta attraversando una delle migliori partenze della carriera, con dodici reti in nove presenze. Dalle parti di Torino però non è tutto oro quello che luccica: la squadra è ancora troppo soggetta ad alti e bassi, anche all'interno della stessa partita, e la gara col Parma avrebbe potuto prendere una piega diversa senza i miracoli di Buffon.
Insomma, dominio è stato, ma anche aiutato da una buona dose di fortuna, non sempre presente in altre occasioni: se si vuole diventare credibili nella lotta per il titolo, i ragazzi di Pirlo devono cominciare a concedere meno in difesa e ad evitare quei black-out fin qui visti in troppe circostanze.
Dalla lotta per il titolo, nonostante la classifica rimanga ancora corta, sembrano essere state estromesse del tutto le due sconfitte eccellenti del tredicesimo turno, il Napoli e la Roma. I partrenopei, giunti alla quinta sconfitta stagionale (compresa quella ricevuta dal Giudice sportivo per la mancata partenza per Torino) sono costretti ad interrogarsi sulla bontà di un progetto, che privato anche della qualità di Insigne e Mertens, ha mostrato all'Olimpico contro la Lazio tutti i suoi limiti. Gattuso, allenatore coriaceo ma incapace spesso di cavare d'impiccio la squadra nelle giornate storte, sta ricadendo negli errori visti nelle sue esperienze passate, che lo hanno confermato allenatore buono ma non vincente.
La Roma è stata schiantata da un'ottima Atalanta, che come da tradizione sta cominciando lentamente ad ingranare e a riproporsi nelle zone alte di classifica. La squadra di Fonseca invece ha subito, per la seconda volta in poche settimane, una sconfitta umiliante, a dimostrazione del fatto che il progetto dell'allenatore portoghese non può considerarsi all'altezza di traguardi importanti: troppo evidenti i limiti difensivi dei giallorossi, che hanno già subito 21 reti in tredici partite, per pensare di competere per il titolo, ma anche il quarto posto potrebbe essere a rischio, se l'Atalanta vincerà, come probabile, la propria partita di recupero e sarà in grado di rilanciarsi definitivamente.
In coda sempre più critiche le situazioni del terzetto Crotone, Genoa e Torino, staccate di quattro punti dalle quartultime, Spezia e Fiorentina, quest'ultima ancora alla caccia della prima vittoria da quando Prandelli ha rilevato Iachini alla guida della squadra. Nel prossimo turno inoltre, i viola dovranno far visita alla Juventus, mentre i granata di Giampaolo, per il momento confermato alla guida della seconda squadra di Torino seppur con l'ombra di Donadoni alle spalle, saranno impegnati a Napoli.
Per le posizioni di vertice interessanti anche le sfide tra Milan e Lazio e tra Verona ed Inter, mentre in chiave salvezza il Genoa se la vedrà con lo Spezia, in una sorta di spareggio salvezza.
