The current Salernitana coach's name is Davide Nicola, he is not very well known abroad, but in Italy he has a reputation as the coach called upon when the task seems desperate. Before Salernitana he managed to save Udinese, Genoa and Torino, even though those teams were perhaps superior to that of Salernitana. If he succeeds again this time he deserves a statue on the Salerno seafront
