I welcome you all to my entry on this contest titled: "Do you believe in prayers?". It is an amazing contest and I find it a great pleasure to participate in it.

What is the meaning of prayer to you?

Prayer to me means the act of talking or communicating with the creator of the universe (God).

It is that intimate fellowship you have with God either by speaking verbally or having deep meditation.
We give thanks to God, ask for his protection, healing, seek comfort, plead for forgiveness etc, all through prayer.

Finally, prayer is the master key. As a child of God, you cannot do without payers. Because, there are a lot of kingdom and heavenly mysteries that cannot be unlocked or reveal to you unless through prayers.

Do you think it's necessary to pray, and how many times should one pray.

It is not just necessary but it is very crucial to pray... It is a command that God has given us as his children, He urged us to always pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

We are expected to always pray and not to faint,,, (Luke 18:1) there is no such thing like time to pray and time not to pray. Prayer is something we need to keep doing without ceasing and fainting, just like God has commanded us.
As a child of God, you need prayers more than anything in the world, so you shouldn't stop praying no matter what.

Even while you are busy with one thing or the other,, you shouldn't cease praying,, ensure you are always praying,, the moment you stop praying,, you start dying spiritually...

Are there some supernatural things prayers can do ?

Yes!! There are alot of supernatural things prayers can do. Things such as:

1. Healing from chronic medical conditions.
2. Financial breakthrough.
3. Change circumstances.
4. Divine protection from danger, e.g Accident etc.
5. Spiritual growth
6. Restoration of physical disabilities.
7. Success and favor in all ramifications of life.

This and many more are supernatural things that prayers can do. No wonder the Holy Bible says "Ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened to you. (Mathew 7:7).

Do you believe that unanswered prayer is caused by sin? If yes prove your answers, If otherwise back your answers up.

Unanswered prayers can be caused by alot of factors aside sin,, though sin is one of the major factors to unanswered prayers. "The prayer of a sinner is an abomination before God (Proverb 28:9), "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me; (Psalms 66:18).

Other factors that can cause our prayers not be answered are;

1. Your prayers might not be in alignment with the will of God for your life.
2. Lack of faith
3. Selfish desires or motives.
4. Lack of perseverance etc

Not all unanswered prayers are caused by sin, the factors I mentioned above can also hinder ones prayer from being heard.

Remember,,, Prayers is the master key. Therefore, Pray continually without fainting.....
